Evangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Luc

(Lc 8, 1-3)

Jésus passait à travers villes et villages, proclamant la Bonne Nouvelle du règne de Dieu. Les Douze l'accompagnaient, ainsi que des femmes qu'il avait délivrées d'esprits mauvais et guéries de leurs maladies : Marie, appelée Madeleine (qui avait été libérée de sept démons), Jeanne, femme de Kouza, l'intendant d'Hérode, Suzanne, et beaucoup d'autres, qui les aidaient de leurs ressources.

Le message

Luc nous communique que Jésus était soutenu financièrement par les personnes avec leurs ressources. Dans son humilité Jésus nous affirme qu’Il a besoin de nous. Heureusement les disciples l’accompagnent et sont formés par le Seigneur personnellement. Que nous soyons aussi formés par le Seigneur. La question qui se pose est, ce que sommes-nous prêts à l’accompagner ?

Gospel text (Lc 8,1-3):

Jesus walked through towns and countryside, preaching and giving the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve followed him, and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and diseases: Mary called Magdalene, who had been freed of seven demons; Joanna, wife of Chuza, Herod's steward; Suzanna and others who provided for them out of their own funds.

The message

Jesus is never alone in announcing the Kingdom of God. As Christians we have to realize that the mission entrusted to us is not only personal, but also communitarian. Luck shares with us the daily life of Jesus and His financial resource. By accepting this participation of His well-wishers, Jesus affirms us the need our participation in the proclamation of the Kingdom of God. Those who are entrusted with the mission of God, should follow Jesus faithfully, and allow the Holy Spirit to train them. Are we ready to follow Jesus radically and allow the Holy Spirit to form us?
