Évangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Luc

(Lc 11, 27-28)

Comme Jésus était en train de parler, une femme éleva la voix au milieu de la foule pour lui dire : « Heureuse la mère qui t'a porté dans ses entrailles, et qui t'a nourri de son lait ! » Alors Jésus lui déclara : « Heureux plutôt ceux qui entendent la parole de Dieu, et qui la gardent ! »

Le message

Comment pouvons-nous entendre la Parole de Dieu ? Est-il possible pour nous, les hommes limités, de mettre sa Parole en pratique ? L’histoire de bon samaritain peut nous aider à entendre cette Parole de Dieu, qui attire sans arrêt notre attention, vers ce cri du people qui souffrent devant nos yeux.

Pour un homme qui se déclare comme chrétien, c’est une invitation à se mettre au service des autres. « Heureux plutôt ceux qui entendent la Parole de Dieu, et qui la garde. » La mère de Jésus n’est-elle pas un modèle pour nous ?

Gospel text (Lc 11,27-28):

As Jesus was speaking, a woman spoke from the crowd and said to him, «Blessed is the one who bore you and nursed you!». Jesus replied, «Surely blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it as well».

The message

The mother of Jesus is directly gloried and honored as a woman happy, because she listened the word of God and cooperated in the incarnation. Is it possible for us to engage radically like this Mother? Jesus seems to propose to us that only…………………… if we are ready to listen and welcome His word……………… as a norm of life.

Certainly the saints whom we know very closely like mother Theresa of Calcutta for example, who lived their life in the same environments or situations like us, do remind us that this radical following the word of God in our life is quite possible, only if we believe radically that God works in and through us. Are they not blessed? And we………., de we wish the same?
