Scripture: 

Luke 21:34-36   

34 "But take heed to yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a snare; 35 for it will come upon all who dwell upon the face of the whole earth. 36 But watch at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of man."

The message

These days, particularly the last week we had the readings preparing us for the second coming of the Lord. Rightly we end our liturgical year C today and start with the liturgical year A tomorrow. Jesus is giving us a good starting of the year by asking each and every one of us to watch and pray. Watch that we may not go away from the Love of the Lord. Pray that we may be always faithful to the Lord, even if we don’t see the signs of Lord’s presence, hoping the good Lord will never abandon us.  Thus when the Lord comes we will be blameless and pure to receive the mercy of the Lord.
