Évangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Luc

(Lc 1, 26-38)

L’ange Gabriel fut envoyé par Dieu dans une ville de Galilée, appelée Nazareth, à une jeune fille, une vierge, accordée en mariage à un homme de la maison de David, appelé Joseph ; et le nom de la jeune fille était Marie.

L'ange entra chez elle et dit : « Je te salue, Comblée-de-grâce, le Seigneur est avec toi. »

À cette parole, elle fut toute bouleversée, et elle se demandait ce que pouvait signifier cette salutation.

L'ange lui dit alors : « Sois sans crainte, Marie, car tu as trouvé grâce auprès de Dieu. Voici que tu vas concevoir et enfanter un fils ; tu lui donneras le nom de Jésus. Il sera grand, il sera appelé Fils du Très-Haut ; le Seigneur Dieu lui donnera le trône de David son père ; il régnera pour toujours sur la maison de Jacob, et son règne n'aura pas de fin. »

Marie dit à l'ange : « Comment cela va-t-il se faire, puisque je suis vierge ? »

L'ange lui répondit : « L'Esprit Saint viendra sur toi, et la puissance du Très-Haut te prendra sous son ombre ; c'est pourquoi celui qui va naître sera saint, et il sera appelé Fils de Dieu. Et voici qu'Élisabeth, ta cousine, a conçu, elle aussi, un fils dans sa vieillesse et elle en est à son sixième mois, alors qu'on l'appelait : 'la femme stérile'. Car rien n'est impossible à Dieu. »

Marie dit alors : « Voici la servante du Seigneur ; que tout se passe pour moi selon ta parole. »

Alors l'ange la quitta.

Le message

Nous fêtons aujourd’hui la fête de l’Immaculée Conception de la Vierge Marie. Ce nom, n’est pas seulement donné par les fidèles à la Mère de Jésus, mais il est aussi affirmé par la Vierge Marie, elle-même par plusieurs apparitions.

Grâce à Jésus elle participe à la sainteté de Dieu dans sa plénitude. La vie de la vierge Marie nous dit que nous pouvons aussi participer à cette sainteté comme elle.

Le don qu’ elle a reçu, est un don reçu au nom de l’humanité en elle, ainsi ce don est-il le nôtre. Rendons grâce à Dieu grâce à qui désormais Marie sera un signe de la participation de l’humanité au salut d’homme, le projet de Dieu.

Seigneur, tu as préparé à ton Fils une demeure digne de lui par la conception immaculée de la Vierge ; puisque tu l’as préservée de tout péché par une grâce venant déjà de la mort de ton Fils, accorde-nous, à l’intercession de cette Mère très pure, de parvenir jusqu’à toi purifiés, nous aussi, de tout mal.

36 And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren.

37 For with God nothing will be impossible."

38 And Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.

The Message

Today we are celebrating the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Even though it is a later addition to our official proclamation by the Catholic Church, it was in the heart of each and every catholic.

Her birth without any sin is a gift given by God to the humanity. In her YES we all say yes to the will of the Father and we ask her prayer so that our yes may be as solid as her Yes to the angel of the Lord.

Her fear and doubt were looked down by the assurance of the angel and by her confidence in the word addressed to her. God needs us in his salvific plan for the humanity and he is sending his angels to us daily. The more we say yes to Him, the more we become holy, because our Yes to the Lord gives us a free access to the holiness of God.

The sayings

When our hands have touched spices, they give fragrance to all they handle. Let us make our prayers pass through the hands of the Blessed Virgin. She will make them fragrant.

Évangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Matthieu

(Mt 9, 27-31)

Jésus était en route ; deux aveugles le suivirent, en criant : « Aie pitié de nous, fils de David ! »

Quand il fut dans la maison, les aveugles l'abordèrent, et Jésus leur dit : « Croyez-vous que je peux faire cela ? » Ils répondirent : « Oui, Seigneur. »

Alors il leur toucha les yeux, en disant : « Que tout se fasse pour vous selon votre

foi ! »

Leurs yeux s'ouvrirent, et Jésus leur dit sévèrement : « Attention ! que personne ne le sache !

»

Mais, à peine sortis, ils parlèrent de lui dans toute la région.

Le message

« Que tout se fasse pour vous selon votre foi. » Les aveugles ont vu en Jésus, le Christ qui va les sauver. Pleins de confiance envers le Seigneur ,ils ont suivi Jésus et ils n’ont pas été déçus.

Tous ceux et celles qui ont fait confiance à Jésus Christ n’ont jamais été déçus. Le Temps de l’Avent est un temps de lumière et d’espérance. Ne soyons pas désespérés, disons d’une voix forte que le Seigneur est notre lumière et notre salut.

Seigneur, tu as fait de saint Ambroise un docteur de la foi catholique et un courageux successeur des Apôtres ; suscite en ton Eglise des hommes selon ton cœur, capables de la gouverner avec force et sagesse.

The Sayings.

So, you will ask me, who then are the people most tempted? They are these, my friends; note them carefully. The people most tempted are those who are ready, with the grace of God, to sacrifice everything for the salvation of their poor souls, who renounce all those things which most people eagerly seek. It is not one devil only who tempts them, but millions seek to entrap them.

(Mt 7, 21.24-27)

Comme les disciples s'étaient rassemblés autour de Jésus, sur la montagne, il leur disait : « Il ne suffit pas de me dire : 'Seigneur, Seigneur !', pour entrer dans le Royaume des cieux ; mais il faut faire la volonté de mon Père qui est aux cieux.

Tout homme qui écoute ce que je vous dis là et le met en pratique est comparable à un homme prévoyant qui a bâti sa maison sur le roc.

La pluie est tombée, les torrents ont dévalé, la tempête a soufflé et s'est abattue sur cette maison ; la maison ne s'est pas écroulée, car elle était fondée sur le roc.

Et tout homme qui écoute ce que je vous dis là sans le mettre en pratique est comparable à un homme insensé qui a bâti sa maison sur le sable.

La pluie est tombée, les torrents ont dévalé, la tempête a soufflé, elle a secoué cette maison ; la maison s'est écroulée, et son écroulement a été complet. »

Le message

La maison bâtie sur le roc est capable de se défendre devant ses adversaires. Que ce roc soit le Seigneur pour nous et que la promesse du prophète Isaïe soit réalisée dans notre temps.

De ce petit enfant qui va naitre d’une femme, nous attendons un sauveur ; le seigneur de la justice et de la paix que nous espérons tous les jours.

Ce temps de l’Avent n’est pas seulement un temps de l’attente, mais également un temps de l’écoute. Jésus nous invite à l’écouter, il nous invite à découvrir la volonté de son Père en lui. Pouvons-nous donner une expression de l’accomplissement de la volonté du Seigneur dans notre vie ?

Déploie, Seigneur, ta puissance, soutiens-nous de ta force, afin que le salut retardé par nos fautes soit hâté par l’indulgence de ta grâce.

26 And every one who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand;

27 and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell; and great was the fall of it."

The message

Listening to the word of God is comparable with a very good intention. A good intention should get actualized in action, otherwise it will remain as a good grain neither consumed for the food nor used as a seed.

Let us be clear right from the beginning that we are not here to do or to be good alone, but to actualize the project of God for us and for others. It is in this actualization that we become good, because we carry in us someone who is eternally good.

If we live in God and if our action has it origin in the listening of the Word of God, we will be like this house solid build on the rock and our shelter will be permanent and all those who are in need of this, can count on us.

The Prayer

Lord, give us your grace so that our words find the fruit in the action. Let us not only call you Lord, may listen to you and respond to you positively. Amen.

(Mt 15, 29-37)

Jésus gagna les bords du lac de Galilée, il gravit la montagne et s'assit.

De grandes foules vinrent à lui, avec des boiteux, des aveugles, des estropiés, des muets, et beaucoup d'autres infirmes ; on les déposa à ses pieds et il les guérit.

Alors la foule était dans l'admiration en voyant des muets parler, des estropiés guérir, des boiteux marcher, des aveugles retrouver la vue ; et ils rendirent gloire au Dieu d'Israël.

Jésus appela ses disciples et leur dit : « J'ai pitié de cette foule : depuis trois jours déjà, ils sont avec moi et n'ont rien à manger. Je ne veux pas les renvoyer à jeun ; ils pourraient défaillir en route. »

Les disciples lui disent : « Où trouverons-nous dans un désert assez de pain pour qu'une telle foule mange à sa faim ? »

Jésus leur dit : « Combien de pains avez-vous ? » Ils dirent : « Sept, et quelques petits poissons. »

Alors il ordonna à la foule de s'asseoir par terre.

Il prit les sept pains et les poissons, il rendit grâce, les rompit, et il les donnait aux disciples, et les disciples aux foules.

Tous mangèrent à leur faim ; et, des morceaux qui restaient, on ramassa sept corbeilles pleines.

Le message

"Le prophète Isaïe nous a déjà promis le salut par celui qui va venir et le bonheur qui dominera la terre avec droiture.

La présence du Seigneur apporte la Joie au peuple car il trouve en lui son espérance.

Le temps de l'Avent est un moment plein d'espérance et de joie. Profitons de ce moment pour nous rapprocher du Seigneur et vivre le plus près possible de lui . Que nous ressentions la présence du Seigneur en nous et parmi nous et que nous fassions confiance au Seigneur.

Chantons avec le palmiste "Le Seigneur est mon berger, je ne manque de rien."

Apprête nos cœurs, Dieu très bon, par la puissance de ta grâce, pour qu’au jour où ton Fils viendra, il nous juge dignes de prendre place à sa table et de recevoir, de sa main, le pain du ciel.

33 And the disciples said to him, "Where are we to get bread enough in the desert to feed so great a crowd?"

34 And Jesus said to them, "How many loaves have you?" They said, "Seven, and a few small fish."

35 And commanding the crowd to sit down on the ground,

36 he took the seven loaves and the fish, and having given thanks he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.

37 And they all ate and were satisfied; and they took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces left over.

The message

The Lording is inviting us to share all that we have with others. The world is not poor, but the riches are in the hands of few. The multiplication of bread is a sign of God’s presence amidst us and a hope for us. With a single generous heart, Jesus could feed many. Am I ready to give my bread to Jesus so that from this single bread Jesus could do the miracle?

The advent time is time to share and open our hearts for the grace of God. Let us pray to Jesus to give us the same compassionate look he had for the poor and the generous heart to share what we have.

The Prayer

We thank you Lord for all that you do to us. There are many associations who still continue your work and participate in you apostolate of uplifting the poor.

You have given us peace and joy, love and forgiveness. Help us that we could share all these, who are in need of this. Amen.

Jésus exultant de joie sous l'action de l'Esprit Saint, dit : « Père, Seigneur du ciel et de la terre, je proclame ta louange : ce que tu as caché aux sages et aux savants, tu l'as révélé aux tout-petits. Oui, Père, tu l'as voulu ainsi dans ta bonté.

Tout m'a été confié par mon Père ; personne ne connaît qui est le Fils, sinon le Père, et personne ne connaît qui est le Père, sinon le Fils et celui à qui le Fils veut le révéler. »

Puis il se tourna vers ses disciples et leur dit en particulier : « Heureux les yeux qui voient ce que vous voyez !

Car, je vous le déclare : beaucoup de prophètes et de rois ont voulu voir ce que vous voyez, et ne l'ont pas vu, entendre ce que vous entendez, et ne l'ont pas entendu. »

Le message

La révélation de Dieu en Jésus Christ est parfaite et complète. En Jésus Christ nous découvrons un Dieu qui est accessible et compréhensible. En lui nous apprenons, comment nous pouvons aimer et pardonner. Pourtant ça fait déjà 2000 ans que notre connaissance du Christ n’est pas encore complète.

Jour après jour, nous découvrons en Jésus Christ un visage de Dieu que les autres n’ont pas pu connaitre. Rendons grâce à Dieu pour cette révélation et demandons-lui sa sagesse afin que dans notre vie quotidienne, nous ne jugions pas d’après les apparences et que nous ne tranchions pas d’après ce que nous entendons.

En réponse à nos appels, Seigneur, accorde ton secours à ceux qui luttent et qui peinent : que la présence au milieu de nous de celui qui doit venir, ton Fils bien-aimé, nous redonne courage et nous préserve de la dégradation du péché.

The message

The revelation is the domain of God. All that we cans aspire is that we are able to understand this revelation when God speaks to us through persons, through events or though things. Many at times in our search for God, we wish that he speaks to us in our own language and many at time we ourselves don’t understand when God speaks to us by using the very language we use, because we wait for a divine language.

Are we able to see the extraordinary things in ordinary things? Are we waiting for a king announced by Isaiah, who will do justice and rule people justly? He may come in the form of a little child, who may knock our door for protection and food.

The saying

Your first task is to be dissatisfied with yourself, fight sin, and transform yourself into something better. Your second task is to put up with the trials and temptations of this world that will be brought on by the change in your life and to persevere to the very end in the midst of these things.

(Mt 8, 5-11)

Jésus était entré à Capharnaüm ; un centurion de l'armée romaine vint à lui et le supplia :

« Seigneur, mon serviteur est au lit, chez moi, paralysé, et il souffre terriblement. »

Jésus lui dit : « Je vais aller le guérir. »

Le centurion reprit : « Seigneur, je ne suis pas digne que tu entres sous mon toit, mais dis seulement une parole et mon serviteur sera guéri.

Ainsi, moi qui suis soumis à une autorité, j'ai des soldats sous mes ordres ; je dis à l'un : 'Va', et il va, à un autre : 'Viens', et il vient, et à mon esclave : 'Fais ceci', et il le fait. »

À ces mots, Jésus fut dans l'admiration et dit à ceux qui le suivaient : « Amen, je vous le déclare, chez personne en Israël, je n'ai trouvé une telle foi.

Aussi je vous le dis : Beaucoup viendront de l'orient et de l'occident et prendront place avec Abraham, lsaac et Jacob au festin du Royaume des cieux. »

Le message

« Seigneur, je ne suis pas digne que tu entres sous mon toit, mais dis seulement une parole et mon serviteur sera guéri. » Devant la lumière nous verrons tout clairement. Devant le Seigneur le centurion se voit clairement avec ses limites et ses faiblesses, et il l’ assume. La foi en Jésus Christ nous aide à mieux nous connaitre. C’est dans cette connaissance de soi que le centurion a découvert dans le Seigneur le messie qu’il a cherché et le Seigneur a reconnu la profondeur de sa foi.

L’avent est un moment fort offert à tous les chrétiens pour éveiller et approfondir leur foi. Ces jours-là, nous pouvons nous mettre en route avec ce centurion à la rencontre du Seigneur.

11 I tell you, many will come from east and west and sit at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven,

The message

Let us join this centurion to profess our faith in the Lord. The more we get closer to God, the more we come to know ourselves. Just like Peter, this centurion also sees his unworthiness to have Jesus in his house.

A stranger’s faith in the Lord invites us to look our faith and calling us to deepen and strengthen our own relationship with the Lord.

Let us echo our voice with the prophet Isaiah and accompany the people of Israel, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths."

The Prayer

Today we are celebrating one of the great missionaries, Saint Francis Xavier. We admire his courage and his enthusiasm for the apostolate. Give us the same spirit and the same apostolic energy to do your mission. Let the centurion’s faith inspires us and we may also have the same kind of faith in you, Amen.

(Lc 21, 25-28.34-36)

Jésus parlait à ses disciples de sa venue : « Il y aura des signes dans le soleil, la lune et les étoiles. Sur terre, les nations seront affolées par le fracas de la mer et de la tempête. Les hommes mourront de peur dans la crainte des malheurs arrivant sur le monde, car les puissances des cieux seront ébranlées. Alors, on verra le Fils de l'homme venir dans la nuée, avec grande puissance et grande gloire. Quand ces événements commenceront, redressez-vous et relevez la tête, car votre rédemption approche.

Tenez-vous sur vos gardes, de crainte que votre cœur ne s'alourdisse dans la débauche, l'ivrognerie et les soucis de la vie, et que ce jour-là ne tombe sur vous à l'improviste. Comme un filet, il s'abattra sur tous les hommes de la terre. Restez éveillés et priez en tout temps : ainsi vous serez jugés dignes d'échapper à tout ce qui doit arriver, et de paraître debout devant le Fils de l'homme. »

L'Homélie

En ce temps-là je ferai naître chez David un Germe de justice, ……………………. En ces jours-là, Juda sera délivré, Jérusalem habitera en sécurité. » Nous l’attendons toujours, le jour de justice et de la sécurité parfaite. Nous sommes désespérés, la frayeur et la terreur ont envahi nos cœurs. Il y a quelques jours le journal de la Provence titrait ‘Silence, on tue ici’, Le pays entier en parle quotidiennement. Aujourd’hui nous crions avec le prophète Jérémie, « Le Seigneur-est-notre-justice. »

Pourquoi ces violences et ces meurtres dévastent-ils notre société ? Comment pouvons-nous résoudre ce problème ? Est-il possible de rétablir la paix dans notre société et dans notre foyer? Saint Paul nous montre le moyen d’ y arriver dans la deuxième lecture. « Frères, que le Seigneur vous donne, entre vous et à l’égard de tous les hommes, un amour de plus en plus intense et débordant, comme celui que nous avons pour vous. » C’est dans cet amour que nous pouvons rétablir la paix dans notre société. L’amour nous montrera le chemin du pardon. Sans cet amour, le pardon n’existe pas. Sans pardon, la paix ne peut jamais se rétablir.

Si nous vivons pleinement dans cet amour et dans ce pardon du Seigneur, le jour du jugement ne tombera pas sur nous à l’improviste, car nous vivrons la présence du Seigneur. Sur terre, les nations peuvent s’ affoler par le fracas de la mer et de la tempête, mais notre foi sera comme une maison construite sur le roc, sur le roc de l’amour et du pardon.

Aujourd’hui est le premier dimanche d’Avent. Jésus nous demande de rester éveillé et de prier tout le temps. C’est dans cette prière, autrement dit dans notre relation personnelle avec Dieu que nous pouvons retrouver notre joie, notre paix et notre espérance.

Le temps de l’Avent aiguise notre attente, ravive notre espérance et met notre foi en éveil. Il nous invite à faire confiance à la promesse faite à nos pères, à lire et relire le plus souvent possible les écritures spirituelle, à écouter la Parole de Dieu et à marcher avec cette Parole d’espérance à la rencontre du petit enfant qui est notre sauveur, envoyé par le Père, né de la vierge Marie. Amen.

28 Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."

34 "But take heed to yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a snare;

35 for it will come upon all who dwell upon the face of the whole earth.

36 But watch at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of man."

Homily

Today is the first Advent Sunday and all the readings lead us towards hope with a promise of the arrival of Lord, the Lord of justice and protection. Evidently Saint Luke speaks about the threatening signs in sun and moon and stars, with the solemn coming of the Lord with power and great glory. How much I and I hope there are many who read my reflection long to see this day in our life time, here and now! When we see the injustice, wars for economic dominance, violence for the power and for the authority, we would love to see the Lord of justice and desire whole heartily the Day of Judgment.

Certainly we are disoriented and dishearten. The first Advent Sunday brings in our hearts the joy of a savior, who will come and establish the Lord’s kingdom, where we will taste the love and forgiveness in abundance.

Saint Paul is promising us a way out from the misery of our days and shows us how we could avoid the last judgment against us. “And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all men as we do to you. » The only way we can prepare ourselves for the coming of the Lord is by loving one another. It is in this love God took our flesh and it is in this love, he will come back. Our love can be very easily expressed in our forgiveness and patience, as our heavenly father is filled with unconditional love and he is a merciful Father.

To have the love of God, Jesus is showing the path. “Watch all time and pray.” Advent time is the time of prayer, a time to be with the Lord, a time to deepen our faith, a time not to be distracted with the worldly things.

Let us put all our expectations and hope in the Lord and He will take care of us. Let us have full confidence in the Lord of justice and hope. He is to come, not the way we wish him to come, he may come in the way of a little child, in the way of a handicap person, in the way of the widower, in the way of an orphan child………………., are we ready to accept him and welcome him in our hearts?

Jésus parlait à ses disciples de sa venue : « Tenez-vous sur vos gardes, de crainte que votre cœur ne s'alourdisse dans la débauche, l'ivrognerie et les soucis de la vie, et que ce jour-là ne tombe sur vous à l'improviste. Restez éveillés et priez en tout temps : ainsi vous serez jugés dignes d'échapper à tout ce qui doit arriver, et de paraître debout devant le Fils de l'homme. »

Le message

« Restez éveillés et priez en tout temps. » Rester éveillé et prier est une bonne chose pour la persévérance et pour la fidélité, y compris dans la vie spirituelle. Faire confiance au Seigneur est essentiel pour la prière, pourtant n’oublions pas que les environnements et les situations difficiles sont capables de nous piéger dans la désespérance et peuvent nous pousser vers la précarité.

Nous avons besoin de la grâce du Seigneur pour rester fidèle à la foi chrétienne. Prions sans relâche et nous serons jugés dignes de paraître devant le Fils de l’Homme

from carousing and drunkenness

The message

There many Martha in our lives. We have a lot to do and have no free time, even for ourselves and most importantly for our family and children. Lord is asking us to give little attention towards our bad habitudes in life in the name of doing well.

The last day of liturgical year, little examination of conscience about our spiritual life and especially our prayer life is worth doing. Be vigilant at all time is call to everyday prayer, a conscious engagement to deepen our spiritual life.

The Prayer

Be with us Lord in our search for ourselves. Look us and our family and all people we know with love and compassion. Help us to remain faithful to you so that we may be always vigilant and continue to serve you through our brothers and sisters in our prayers and through our deeds. Amen.

Comme Jésus marchait au bord du lac de Galilée, il vit deux frères, Simon, appelé Pierre, et son frère André, qui jetaient leurs filets dans le lac : c'étaient des pêcheurs.

Le message

L’Eglise universelle fête aujourd’hui la fête de saint André, le frère de saint Pierre, un des apôtres du Seigneur. Il les a choisis pour annoncer la bonne nouvelle à toute la terre. Les apôtres l’ ont transmise aux premiers chrétiens. Aujourd’hui, c’est à nous, les baptisés que ce travail est confié.

Si notre foi n’est pas profonde, comment pouvons-nous transmettre cette bonne nouvelle à nos enfants et aux autres ? Ressentons-nous l’appel du Seigneur ? Les apôtres ont laissé leurs filets et ils ont suivi le Seigneur. Suivons-nous le Seigneur dans notre vie quotidienne ?

Seigneur, maître du monde, nous te supplions humblement, permets que l’Apôtre André, après avoir évangélisé et guidé ton Eglise, ne cesse d’intercéder pour nous.

The message

While celebrating the feast of Saint Andrew, the brother of Saint Peter, one of the apostles of Jesus, we remember their work in the announce of the Good News. They were convinced in their apostolate that the Lord was with them and was working in them. The presence of God was their force and their strength.

Jesus called them and sent them so that we may have faith in him and be saved. If we don’t feel that we are called and sent, we can’t announce the Good News; The Lord is with us.

Do we fell called and sent? Do we live our faith fully? Let us pray to the Lord, his grace so that we may live the Faith in our daily life.

The Prayer

Lord, you have called Saint Andrew to be your apostle and made him an instrument to proclaim your presence amidst us. Through him we pray and with him we surrender ourselves for your mission. Let him intercede for us and guide us to do your mission. Amen.

Ils tomberont sous le tranchant de l'épée, ils seront emmenés en captivité chez toutes les nations païennes ; Jérusalem sera piétinée par les païens, jusqu'à ce que le temps des païens soit achevé. Il y aura des signes dans le soleil, la lune et les étoiles. Sur terre, les nations seront affolées par le fracas de la mer et de la tempête. Les hommes mourront de peur dans la crainte des malheurs arrivant sur le monde, car les puissances des cieux seront ébranlées. Alors, on verra le Fils de l'homme venir dans la nuée, avec grande puissance et grande gloire.

Le message

A notre époque, les misères et les catastrophes ne manquent pas. Les guerres, les peurs et les conflits entre les nations sont quotidiennement d'actualité.

Cette parole du Seigneur est une consolation pour tous ceux et celles qui ont fait confiance au Seigneur et avec lui nous pouvons pleinement vivre notre vie sur la terre.

28 Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."

The message

Has the time of “those days” has come?, certainly not. However, we cannot deny the situation actual is clearly alarming. The cry of John Baptist for conversion is applicable to our days too. The amount of violence, wars and natural catastrophes are frightening.

“Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” This word of God is consoling to all those listen to the word of God and give expression to it in their daily life. Today’s reading may also invite certain of us for a conversion.

The Prayer

Lord, we are living in fears. We don’t know what will happen to us tomorrow. In this time of agony and anxiety we need you and your consoling words very much. With you we can easily face this world and live in peace. Our days have become complicated with new worries and new sickness with existing innumerable sickness which have no treatments. Protect us from every evil and lead us not in to temptation. Amen.
