Évangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Jean

(Jn 1, 29-34)

Comme Jean Baptiste voyait Jésus venir vers lui, il dit : « Voici l'Agneau de Dieu, qui enlève le péché du monde ; c'est de lui que j'ai dit : Derrière moi vient un homme qui a sa place devant moi, car avant moi il était. Je ne le connaissais pas ; mais, si je suis venu baptiser dans l'eau, c'est pour qu'il soit manifesté au peuple d'Israël. »

Alors Jean rendit ce témoignage : « J'ai vu l'Esprit descendre du ciel comme une colombe et demeurer sur lui. Je ne le connaissais pas, mais celui qui m'a envoyé baptiser dans l'eau m'a dit : 'L'homme sur qui tu verras l'Esprit descendre et demeurer, c'est celui-là qui baptise dans l'Esprit Saint.' Oui, j'ai vu, et je rends ce témoignage : c'est lui le Fils de Dieu. »

Le message

Les prophètes nous ont déjà dit que Dieu va nous envoyer un grand prophète qui nous préparera à accueillir l’Envoyé du Père. C’est par le baptême de la conversion que Jean Baptiste nous a préparés.

Aujourd’hui il nous montre le Sauveur et il nous rend témoignage de sa présence. Par le baptême de Jean Baptiste, nous comprenons que la conversion est le mot clé pour que nous puissions identifier l’Agneau de Dieu et nous associer avec lui comme les enfants de Dieu.

C’est ainsi nous pouvons témoigner comme Jean Baptiste dans notre vie quotidienne le Sauver du monde et nous pouvons d’être témoin de l’action de grâce.

(Jn 1,29-34):

John saw Jesus coming towards him and said, «There is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. It is he of whom I said: ‘A man comes after me who is already ahead of me, for he was before me’. I myself did not know him, but I came baptizing to prepare for him, so that he might be revealed in Israel». And John also gave this testimony, «I saw the Spirit coming down on him like a dove from heaven and resting on him. I myself did not know him but God who sent me to baptize told me: ‘You will see the Spirit coming down and resting on the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit’. Yes, I have seen! and I declare that this is the Chosen One of God».

The message

The same child, who rejoiced of the presence of Jesus in the womb of his mother, gives a divine witness, inspired from heaven. Even though he received the message from above, it took time for him to prepare himself in solitude in the desert and he took equal time to prepare his people through his baptism of conversion to receive the Savior of the world.

The descending of the Holy Spirit assures us the need of Him in our daily spiritual life. If it is not revealed to us, with our human intelligence we will never be able to identify Him.

Our Holy Father in his last exhortation has invited us to be transformed by the word of God and of the Holy Spirit. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to penetrate in our hearts to be transformed by Him.

(Jn 1, 19-28)

Voici quel fut le témoignage de Jean Baptiste, quand les Juifs lui envoyèrent de Jérusalem des prêtres et des lévites pour lui demander : « Qui es-tu ? »

Il le reconnut ouvertement, il déclara : « Je ne suis pas le Messie. »

Ils lui demandèrent : « Qui es-tu donc ? Es-tu le prophète Élie ? » Il répondit : « Non. Alors es-tu le grand Prophète ? » Il répondit : « Ce n'est pas moi. »

Alors ils lui dirent : « Qui es-tu ? Il faut que nous donnions une réponse à ceux qui nous ont envoyés. Que dis-tu sur toi-même ? »

Il répondit : «Je suis la voix qui crie à travers le désert : Aplanissez le chemin du Seigneur, comme a dit le prophète Isaïe.»

Or, certains des envoyés étaient des pharisiens. Ils lui posèrent encore cette question : « Si tu n'es ni le Messie, ni Élie, ni le grand Prophète, pourquoi baptises-tu ? »

Jean leur répondit : « Moi, je baptise dans l'eau. Mais au milieu de vous se tient celui que vous ne connaissez pas : c'est lui qui vient derrière moi, et je ne suis même pas digne de défaire la courroie de sa sandale. »

Tout cela s'est passé à Béthanie-de-Transjordanie, à l'endroit où Jean baptisait.

Le message

« Qui es-tu » est une question étroite que l’homme ne peut l’ignorer. C’est à partir cette question que Jean Baptiste nous témoigne la présence de Jésus parmi nous et il nous présente indirectement le Baptême de l’Esprit Saint.

Il a reconnu qu’il ne mérite même pas d’être appelé comme le disciple de Jésus. Pourtant il accepte sans aucune hésitation qu’il n’est pas le prophète, mais celui qui prépare le chemin et celui qui nous identifiera la présence du Christ.

« Qui es-tu » est une question que nous devons nous demander pour que nous puissions reconnaitre la présence du Christ dans notre vie quotidienne et que nous identifions sa présence aux autres.

Gospel text (Jn 1,19-28):

This was the testimony of John when the Jews sent priests and Levites to ask him, «Who are you?». John recognized the truth and did not deny it. He said, «I am not the Messiah». And they asked him, «Then who are you? Elijah?». He answered, «I am not». They said, «Are you the Prophet?». And he answered, «No». Then they said to him, «Tell us who you are, so that we can give some answer to those who sent us. How do you see yourself?». And John said, quoting the prophet Isaiah, «I am the voice crying out in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord».

Those who had been sent were Pharisees; so they put a further question to John: «Then why are you baptizing if you are not the Messiah, or Elijah, or the Prophet?». John answered, «I baptize you with water, but among you stands one whom you do not know; although he comes after me, I am not worthy to untie the strap of his sandal». This happened in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.

The message

Shall I for the sake of incorporating this gospel message, put the question in this way, “who am I?” The witness of John Baptist is a response to this question. He humbly accepts two things, first he is not a prophet, let us forget of a great prophet and the second is that he is not worthy to be Jesus’ disciple. It is in this self knowledge that John Baptist witnesses the Christ and one day he will identify Him for us.

However he affirms his mission of someone who is here to prepare the way for Christ. As a baptized Christian, do we know who we are and what is our mission today?

L’Église catholique célèbre la fête de Mère de Jésus, notre mère. Et quelle joie pour nous de pouvoir démarrer le nouvel an avec la mère de Dieu. Nous bénissions le Seigneur pour cette année et nous lui demandons de nous prendre en grâce et de nous bénir.

Comme les bergers, nous devons découvrir Marie et Joseph avec le nouveau né, le signe visible de l’espérance que Dieu nous donne aujourd’hui dans la fragilité de notre humanité. C’est là que nous découvrirons l’amour et le pardon dans l’humilité de Marie, et une immense présence de Dieu dans cette famille par Jésus, en qui le monde trouve son salut mené à son achèvement dans le calvaire où le Père sanctifiera l’offrande pure offerte par l’humanité en Jésus pour notre humanité et rétablira la divinité de l’homme dans sa résurrection.

Nous pouvons prier avec le psalmiste, « Que ton visage s’illumine pour tous ». Ceux qui ont approché la grotte de Bethléem, ont vu l’enfant né avec ses parents et ils ont entendu la Parole de Dieu, la bonne nouvelle. Ils ont vu et ils ont cru. Il y a eu, dans la simplicité et la joie d’une naissance, une rencontre divine entre l’homme et Dieu. Marie en est témoin. Dieu nous donne les signes qui illumineront les peuples dans leur obscurité, mais l’homme dans sa liberté a choisi les ténèbres, dit saint Jean, l’évangéliste.

Joseph représente l’homme dépassé par les événements mais fidèle, qui coopère, en silence et d’une totale docilité, au projet de Dieu, l’homme à qui nous pouvons nous confier dans nos tribulations personnelles et familiales comme Marie et Jésus. Marie retenait tous ces événements, les méditait dans son cœur. La Parole de Dieu est toujours accueillie et elle fait sa demeure facilement dans le cœur de Marie. C’est pourquoi, chaque fois que Marie ouvrait sa bouche, il y avait une parole d’espérance dans la sérénité, il y avait une solution qui amenait le peuple vers la paix. Au calvaire elle était debout devant son Fils avec une humble assurance, prête à achever la mission qu’elle avait reçue dans son Fils et que son Fils lui confie, de devenir en Lui la Mère de l’Église, de tous ceux qui y deviennent le Corps du Christ par la foi.

L’enfant Jésus était bien protégé de la violence. Protégeons nos enfants aussi contre la violence et qu’ils apprennent dans la maison à aimer et à pardonner. Qu’ils découvrent le chemin qui mène vers la paix et la justice. Qu’ils entendent quotidiennement cette prière : « Que le Seigneur te bénisse et te garde ! Que le Seigneur fasse briller sur toi son visage, qu’il se penche vers toi ! Que le Seigneur tourne vers toi son visage, qu’il t’apporte la paix. Amen.

Homily Happy New year to all my friends.

Today the Catholic Church celebrates the feast of the Mother of Jesus , our mother. And what a joy for us to start the new year with the Mother of God . We thank the Lord for this year and we ask him to take us through and bless us.

Like the shepherds who have seen the light and heard the Good News, we need to go towards Mary and Joseph to see and adore the newborn, the visible sign of hope that God gives us today in the fragility of our humanity. This is where we will find love of God and neighbors. It is here we will learn to forgive and accept others in the humility of Mary.

In the presence of the holy family, we feel the presence of God through Jesus , in Him the world finds salvation which will led to its completion in the Calvary where Father will accept and sanctify the pure offering offered by the humanity in Jesus to restore our humanity and to reinstall the divinity in man through his resurrection.
We can pray with the psalmist, "Let your face shine for all." Those who have approached Bethlehem, saw the new born child with his parents and they witnessed the accomplishment of the Word of God, the good news. They saw and believed . There was , in the simplicity and joy of a birth, a divine encounter between man and God. Mary who is silent in meditation is the witness. God gives us signs that illuminate the people in their darkness , but man 's freedom has chosen darkness, says St. John , the Evangelist .

Joseph is the man overwhelmed but faithful, who cooperates in silence and total docility to God's plan , the man to whom we can trust and look for in our personal and family tribulations as Mary and Jesus. He will help us to listen and discern the Word of God. Mary kept all these things in her heart, pondering and discovering the wonders of God in her son. The Word of God is always welcomed and she made ​​her heart to the home, thus participates in the sacred heart of Jesus and makes all its ingredients in her heart. That is why , whenever Mary opened her mouth , there was a word of hope in the serenity , there was a solution that brought the people to peace.

At Calvary she was standing before her Son with a humble assurance , ready to complete the mission she has received in His Son and His Son entrusts to her his mission. Thus she becomes the Mother of the Church, a Mother to all those become member of the Body of Christ by faith.

The child Jesus was protected from violence by His parents. Let us protect our children against violence and also let learn in the house to love and forgive. May they discover the path to peace and justice in their parents. Let them hear daily this prayer: "May the Lord bless you and keep you! May the Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you! May the Lord turn his face toward you , and brings you peace . Amen .

Commencement de l'Évangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Jean

(Jn 1, 1-18)

Au commencement était le Verbe, la Parole de Dieu,
et le Verbe était auprès de Dieu,
et le Verbe était Dieu.
Il était au commencement auprès de Dieu.
Par lui, tout s'est fait,
et rien de ce qui s'est fait ne s'est fait sans lui.
En lui était la vie,
et la vie était la lumière des hommes ;
la lumière brille dans les ténèbres,
et les ténèbres ne l'ont pas arrêtée.

Il y eut un homme envoyé par Dieu.
Son nom était Jean.
Il était venu comme témoin,
pour rendre témoignage à la Lumière,
afin que tous croient par lui.
Cet homme n'était pas la Lumière,
mais il était là pour lui rendre témoignage.

Le Verbe était la vraie Lumière,
qui éclaire tout homme
en venant dans le monde.
Il était dans le monde,
lui par qui le monde s'était fait,
mais le monde ne l'a pas reconnu.
Il est venu chez les siens,
et les siens ne l'ont pas reçu.
Mais tous ceux qui l'ont reçu,
ceux qui croient en son nom,
il leur a donné de pouvoir devenir enfants de Dieu.
Ils ne sont pas nés de la chair et du sang,
ni d'une volonté charnelle, ni d'une volonté d'homme :
ils sont nés de Dieu.
Et le Verbe s'est fait chair,
il a habité parmi nous,
et nous avons vu sa gloire,
la gloire qu'il tient de son Père
comme Fils unique,
plein de grâce et de vérité.

Jean Baptiste lui rend témoignage en proclamant :
« Voici celui dont j'ai dit :
Lui qui vient derrière moi,
il a pris place devant moi,
car avant moi il était. »
Tous nous avons eu part à sa plénitude,
nous avons reçu grâce après grâce :
après la Loi communiquée par Moïse,
la grâce et la vérité sont venues par Jésus Christ.

Dieu, personne ne l'a jamais vu ;
le Fils unique, qui est dans le sein du Père,
c'est lui qui a conduit à le connaître.

Le message

Saint Jean nous explique le mystère de l’incarnation. Il nous affirme que Jésus par l’incarnation nous rend visible ce Dieu d’amour et de patience qui était auparavant invisible. Il nous dit que l’incarnation est une grâce que Dieu nous offre pour que par lui nous ayons la lumière et que nous devenions les enfants de la Lumière.

Aujourd’hui nous rendons grâce au Seigneur pour tout ce que nous avons reçu de lui dans cette année et nous lui confions l’année 2014, pour qu’elle soit pour nous et pour nos amis, une année de grâce et de joie.

Gospel text (Jn 1,1-18):

In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God and the Word was God; he was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him and without him nothing came to be. Whatever has come to be, found life in him, life which for humans was also light. Light that shines in the dark: light that darkness could not overcome.

A man came, sent by God; his name was John. He came to bear witness, as a witness to introduce the Light so that all might believe through him. He was not the Light but a witness to introduce the Light.

For the Light was coming into the world, the true Light that enlightens everyone. He was already in the world and through him the world was made, the very world that did not know him. He came to his own, yet his own people did not receive him; but all who have received him he empowers to become children of God for they believe in his Name. These are born, but without seed or carnal desire or will of man: they are born of God. And the Word was made flesh; he had his tent pitched among us, and we have seen his Glory, the Glory of the only Son coming from the Father: fullness of truth and loving-kindness.

John bore witness to him openly, saying: «This is the one who comes after me, but he is already ahead of me for he was before me». From his fullness we have all received, favor upon favor. For God had given us the Law through Moses, but Truth and Loving-kindness came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but God-the-Only-Son made him known: the one who is in and with the Father.

The message

The last days of the year always evok lots of hope in the human hearts. There is also a sense of gratitude for all that the Lord has done to us.

The universal church is proposing us through Saint John a meditation on the mystery of incarnation. John prologue does assures us the presence of God right from the beginning of the creation as a Light which illumines the human hearts and inspires to do good and be good. It is in this goodness John is inviting us to welcome Jesus in our hearts and be a light to the world.

Whiling thanking God for the year 2013, let us dedicate the new year to the loving providence of God so that the year 2014 be a year of hope and joy to us and to all.

(Lc 2, 36-40)

Quand les parents de Jésus vinrent le présenter au Temple, il y avait là une femme qui était prophète, Anne, fille de Phanuel, de la tribu d'Aser.

Demeurée veuve après sept ans de mariage, elle avait atteint l'âge de quatre-vingt-quatre ans. Elle ne s'éloignait pas du Temple, servant Dieu jour et nuit dans le jeûne et la prière.

S'approchant d'eux à ce moment, elle proclamait les louanges de Dieu et parlait de l'enfant à tous ceux qui attendaient la délivrance de Jérusalem.

Lorsqu'ils eurent accompli tout ce que prescrivait la loi du Seigneur, ils retournèrent en Galilée, dans leur ville de Nazareth.

L'enfant grandissait et se fortifiait, tout rempli de sagesse, et la grâce de Dieu était sur lui.

Le message

Tous ceux et celles qui vivent en Dieu ont reconnu la présence du Christ dans le monde. Tout ce qui est invisible désormais sera visible dans cet enfant. Anne, la prophétesse qui servait Dieu jour et nuit dans le jeûne et dans la prière nous identifie le Christ et elle nous amène vers lui. Elle nous affirme que le jeûne et la prière peuvent nous aider à identifier la présence de Dieu.

Jésus le maître de tout suive fidèlement la tradition du peuple et dans quelque jour il va la purifier. Suivre les conseils des anciens est un fruit du discernement et de la sagesse. C’est dans cette fidélité à la loi et à la tradition que nous pouvons les maitriser. C’est ainsi que nous serons capable de les transformer et trouver la présence de Dieu dans cette tradition.

Gospel text (Lc 2,36-40):

There was also a prophetess named Anna, daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. After leaving her father's home, she had been seven years with her husband, and since then she had been continually about the Temple, serving God as a widow night and day in fasting and prayer. She was now eighty-four. Coming up at that time, she gave praise to God and spoke of the child to all who looked forward to the deliverance of Jerusalem.

When the parents had fulfilled all that was required by the law of the Lord, they returned to their town, Nazareth in Galilee. There the child grew in stature and strength and was filled with wisdom: the grace of God was upon him.

The message

Jesus continues to be close to his earthly parents and seems to be someone very much interested in learning from us. It’s quite strange to see that the Lord is growing just like us.

The presence of Anna, the prophetess reminds us the importance of fasting and prayer to identify the presence of God amidst us. Even though Jesus was visible to all, only she and Simeon could identify the Christ in this little child.

Jesus the master of all seems to be a student in this world and one day He will take charge and transform this world. Openness to the wisdom and the grace of God is essential for all transformations. Let us learn this from our families and let our families be a school where our children discover the presence of God in this world.

Évangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Matthieu

(Mt 2, 13-15.19-23)

Après le départ des mages, l'ange du Seigneur apparaît en songe à Joseph et lui dit : « Lève-toi ; prends l'enfant et sa mère, et fuis en Égypte. Reste là-bas jusqu'à ce que je t'avertisse, car Hérode va rechercher l'enfant pour le faire périr. »
Joseph se leva ; dans la nuit, il prit l'enfant et sa mère, et se retira en Égypte,
où il resta jusqu'à la mort d'Hérode. Ainsi s'accomplit ce que le Seigneur avait dit par le prophète : D'Égypte, j'ai appelé mon fils.

Après la mort d'Hérode, l'ange du Seigneur apparaît en songe à Joseph en Égypte et lui dit : « Lève-toi ; prends l'enfant et sa mère, et reviens au pays d'Israël, car ils sont morts, ceux qui en voulaient à la vie de l'enfant. »

Joseph se leva, prit l'enfant et sa mère, et rentra au pays d'Israël.

Mais, apprenant qu'Arkélaüs régnait sur la Judée à la place de son père Hérode, il eut peur de s'y rendre. Averti en songe, il se retira dans la région de Galilée et vint habiter dans une ville appelée Nazareth.
Ainsi s'accomplit ce que le Seigneur avait dit par les prophètes : Il sera appelé Nazaréen.

Homélie

Le jour de la fête de la sainte Famille, je voudrais vous rappeler encore une fois la parole de saint Paul, « Frère, puisque vous avez été choisis par Dieu, que vous êtes ses fidèles et ses bien-aimés, revêtez votre cœur de tendresse et de bonté, d'humilité, de douceur, de patience. Supportez-vous mutuellement, et pardonnez si vous avez des reproches à vous faire. »

Ce jour de la saint famille nous nous rappelons notre propre vie familiale où nos parents, no frères et sœurs nous a aidé directement et indirectement à devenir tout ce que nous sommes et nous avons devenu.

La saint famille a eu son problème comme nous ceux de doute, d’injustice, etc. Si nous voulons résoudre nos problèmes, nous devons nous approcher au Seigneur et lui demander de conseil. Il nous dira de sa manière, soit à travers nos amis, soit à travers un songe, soit à travers un avertissement. Que qui soit la manière que le Seigneur emploie à nous communiquer le message, si nous nous aimons les uns les autres nous recevrons et accueillerons ce massage avec un cœur ouvert et humble.

Nous savons que la famille en tant qu’une institution travers un moment difficile. Même si elle arrive à surmonter ce problème institutionnel, elle a subi énormément au problème interpersonnel et au problème de la société qui cherche un fuit immédiat comme fast-food. Pourtant la première lecture du jour nous rappelle que ce n’est pas un nouveau phénomène, mais ces problèmes existait dès le commencement.

Aujourd’hui l’évangile apporte un bon conseil à résoudre ces problèmes familials ; l’écoute et le dialogue. Joseph laisse les portes toujours ouverte pour que l’intervention divine se réalise. Marie, la mère de Jésus écoute le conseil de son mari et elle le suive. C’est dans cette écoute et fidélité que l’Eglise demande à nos familles à construire leurs vies familiales. Nous, tous aimerions à construire nos familles sur le roc d’amour. Le vrai amour se tisse avec la patience et le pardon. Mais il y a un prix à payer et ce n’est pas facile.

Comme la sainte Faille nous devons nous unir dans la prière. La famille qui prie ensemble reste toujours unie dans l’amour. C’est le Seigneur qui se donne comme un cadeau dans la famille et la Foi nous aide à reconnaitre cette présence de Dieu, à nous rappeler notre devoir en tant qu’un père ou une mère et à y engager. C’est ainsi notre famille deviendra une école d’amour et de pardon où nos enfants goûterons la vraie joie et le bonheur de la vie. N’oublions pas notre appartenance à la grande Famille, l’Eglise, le peuple de Dieu et nous sommes les enfants de Dieu.

Ce jour de fête nous confions au Seigneur les familles déchirées, séparées, divorcées, composées et recomposées. Nous prions pour les enfants qui souffrent dans cette séparation. Nous pensons chaleureusement les fiancés qui s prépare pour le mariage. Que notre vie soit imprégnée de l’amour divin et que nos familles puissent en témoigner auprès de tous ceux et celles qu’elle croiserons sur la route, Amen.

After the wise men had left, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph and said, «Get up, take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod will soon be looking for the child in order to kill him». Joseph got up, took the child and his mother, and left that night for Egypt, where he stayed until the death of Herod. In this way, what the Lord had said through the prophet was fulfilled: ‘I called my son out of Egypt’.

After Herod's death, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph and said, «Get up, take the child and his mother and go back to the land of Israel, because those who tried to kill the child are dead». So Joseph got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. But when Joseph heard that Archilaus had succeeded his father Herod as king of Judea, he was afraid to go there. He was given further instructions in a dream, and went to the region of Galilee. There he settled in a town called Nazareth. In this way what was said by the prophets was fulfilled: «He shall be called a Nazarene».

Homily

The holy church proposes the first Sunday after the Christmas as the feast of the Holy Family and on this day I would like to recall once again the words of St. Paul , "Brother, since you have been chosen by God , you are holy and beloved, put on your heart tenderness and kindness, humility, gentleness and patience . Do you support each other and forgive if you have any complaints to make. "

On this day of the saint family we remember our own family where our parents , no brothers and sisters who helped us directly and indirectly to become all that we are and have become. We remember them and give thanks for this wonderful family God has given to us.

The holy family is our model and as like any of our families they too had the problems as those of doubt, fear, injustice, unnecessary troubles proved by powerful people like king Herod, etc. They had the same human problems as we have today. If we want to solve our problems, we must approach the Lord and ask for advice. He will tell us of his ways , either through friends or through a dream or through a warning. He has his own way of communicating to us and only if we love each other we will receive and be able to welcome this massage with an open and humble heart .

We know that the family as an institution passes a difficult time today and particularly in Europe and in all our big cities. Even if she manages to overcome this institutional problem , she has to undergone tremendous interpersonal problem and the problem of society that seeks immediate result. The couples are more and more live with lots of stress and anxiety. Even though we are tempted to think that the past was better than today, the first reading of the day reminds us that this is not a new phenomenon, but these problems existed right from the beginning, either relational or institutional.

In this modern world where the family is forced with many man-made problems, today 's Gospel gives good advice to solve these family problems; listening and dialogue. Joseph leaves the doors always open so that the divine intervention could occur in his life. Mary, the mother of Jesus listens to the advice of her husband and follow him . It is in this listening and loyalty that the Church asks our families to build their family lives. We all like to build our families on the rock of love. True love is built with patience and forgiveness. But there is a price to pay and it is not easy.

As the holy Faille we must be united in prayer. The family that prays together stays together forever in love. It is the Lord who gives himself as a gift to family and faith helps us to recognize the presence of God, to remind us of our duty as a father or mother and engage . This is how our family will become a school of love and forgiveness where our children will taste the real joy and happiness of life. Let us not forget that we belong to the great family , the Church, the people of God and we are the children of God.

On this feast day we entrust to the Lord the families torn apart , separated, divorced , composed and recomposed . We pray for the children who suffer in this separation. We wholeheartedly remember the fancies who are preparing for the marriage .

This Sunday we give thanks to the Lord for the example that His earthly family gives us today. We entrust him all our families of the earth, especially those experiencing painful trials. It is "the heart of our lives", but often it is we who are elsewhere. We pray, Lord, that our whole life is imbued with your word and your love so that we can testify to all those that we cross our path. Amen.

Évangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Matthieu

(Mt 2, 13-18)

Après le départ des mages, l'ange du Seigneur apparaît en songe à Joseph et lui dit : « Lève-toi ; prends l'enfant et sa mère, et fuis en Égypte. Reste là-bas jusqu'à ce que je t'avertisse, car Hérode va rechercher l'enfant pour le faire périr. »
Joseph se leva ; dans la nuit, il prit l'enfant et sa mère, et se retira en Égypte, où il resta jusqu'à la mort d'Hérode.
Ainsi s'accomplit ce que le Seigneur avait dit par le prophète : D'Égypte, j'ai appelé mon fils.
Alors Hérode, voyant que les mages l'avaient trompé, entra dans une violente fureur. Il envoya tuer tous les enfants de moins de deux ans à Bethléem et dans toute la région, d'après la date qu'il s'était fait préciser par les mages.
Alors s'accomplit ce que le Seigneur avait dit par le prophète Jérémie :
Un cri s'élève dans Rama, des pleurs et une longue plainte : c'est Rachel qui pleure ses enfants et ne veut pas qu'on la console, car ils ne sont plus.

Le message

Ils sont morts pour le Seigneur, sans l’avoir connu. La connaissance ou l’intelligence ne peut pas nous sauver. C’est la vie en Jésus Christ, une vie comme lui est capable de nous sauver.

Comment pouvons-nous vivre comme lui ? C’est dans l’amour et dans le pardon que nous pour le rencontrer. C’est dans cet amour que nous sommes invités à vivre comme lui.

Chaque fois qu'on confronté par une situation celle de l'évangile du jour, nous devons écouter la Parole du Seigneur et la mettre en pratique comme Joseph. Peut-être, Il nous dira de quitter le lieu comme aujourd'hui. Sommes-nous prêts à prêter nos oreilles au Seigneur?

Gospel text (Mt 2,13-18):

After the wise men had left, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph and said, «Get up, take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you for Herod will soon be looking for the child in order to kill him». Joseph got up, took the child and his mother, and left that night for Egypt, where he stayed until the death of Herod. In this way, what the Lord had said through the prophet was fulfilled: «I called my son out of Egypt».

When Herod found out that he had been tricked by the wise men, he was furious. He gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its neighborhood who were two years old or under. This was done in line with what he had learned from the wise men about the time when the star appeared. In this way, what the prophet Jeremiah had said was fulfilled: «A cry is heard in Ramah, wailing and loud lamentation: Rachel weeps for her children. She refuses to be comforted, for they are no more».

The message

We are celebration the feast of Holy innocents and putting this feast immediately after the birth of Jesus, the Church explains to us that the mystery of incarnation and of resurrection are inter related. Without understanding the mystery of incarnation, we will never understand the mystery of death and resurrection of the Lord.

If we look very deep in to theses mysteries, we will understand that these mysteries are the fruit of God’s love and Christ love to redeem His people. It is in this love that we are called to participate and called to live our faith. If the Christian faith is inspired by this divine love, the Christ life will lose its very meaning of existence.

The only way we can win over anything against love is by listening to the Word of God and putting them in practice. Sometime like today’s Gospel, God make ask us to escape from the situation. Are we ready to listen to Him?

(Jn 20, 2-8)

Le matin de Pâques, Marie Madelaine courut trouver Simon-Pierre et l'autre disciple, celui que Jésus aimait, et elle leur dit : « On a enlevé le Seigneur de son tombeau, et nous ne savons pas où on l'a mis. »
Pierre partit donc avec l'autre disciple pour se rendre au tombeau. Ils couraient tous les deux ensemble, mais l'autre disciple courut plus vite que Pierre et arriva le premier au tombeau. En se penchant, il voit que le linceul est resté là ; cependant il n'entre pas. Simon-Pierre, qui le suivait, arrive à son tour. Il entre dans le tombeau, et il regarde le linceul resté là, et le linge qui avait recouvert la tête, non pas posé avec le linceul, mais roulé à part à sa place.
C'est alors qu'entra l'autre disciple, lui qui était arrivé le premier au tombeau. Il vit, et il crut.

Le message

« Il vit, et il crut » Tous ont vu le tombeau qui était vide, mais Jean était la seule personne qui était capable de voir dans ce vide, les signes de l’espérance, les signes de la résurrection, la présence du Seigneur et la Vie. Tous ont reconnu l’absence du Seigneur, mais Jean a vu la présence du Seigneur.

Ce jour de la fête de saint Jean, nous demandons au Seigneur, ce regard de foi. N’oublions pas ce que c’était Marie Madeline qui annonce dans son témoignage la résurrection du Seigneur. Tous les deux Marie Madelaine ont aimé le Seigneur. C’est dans cet amour humain que nous pouvons aller à la rencontre de l’amour divin.

Gospel text (Jn 20,2-8):

On the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala ran to Peter and the other disciple whom Jesus loved. And she said to them, «They have taken the Lord out of the tomb and we don't know where they have laid him». Peter then set out with the other disciple to go to the tomb. They ran together but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent down and saw the linen cloths lying flat, but he did not enter. Then Simon Peter came following him and entered the tomb; he, too, saw the linen cloths lying flat. The napkin, which had been around his head was not lying flat like the other linen cloths but lay rolled up in its place. Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in; he saw and believed.

The message

“He saw and believed”. All of them went to the tomb and saw that it was empty. It is in this emptiness that John saw the signs of hope and resurrection. It is in this absence that he saw the presence of the resurrected one and the Life, eternal Life. Everyone has accepted that the tomb was empty and only John had the eyes to see beyond, the invisible: the resurrection.

The incarnation evidently leads us to the resurrection and it is right that we celebrate the feast of saint John immediately after the feast of Christ, the Word became Flesh.

It is important to note that Mary of Magdlala and John were filled with Love. It is in this human love they have discovered the divine love.

Oui ! Un enfant nous est né, un fils nous a été donné ; l'insigne du pouvoir est sur son épaule ; on proclame son nom : « Merveilleux-Conseiller, Dieu-Fort, Père-à-jamais, Prince-de-la-Paix ». C’est dans cette joie que nous nous sommes réunis et nous célébrons Noël avec la famille. Comme les bergers d’Israël nous disons ensemble, « Allons donc jusqu’à Bethlehem et voyons ce qui est arrivé.

Avec l’immense cortège des anges du ciel, nous entendons les chants des anges et nous chantons un chant nouveau, un chant plein d’amour et plein de reconnaissance. Gloire à Dieu, au plus haut des cieux, paix sur la terre aux hommes qu’il aime.

Comme Marie, nous croyons à la providence du Seigneur. La fête de Noël, nous rappelle cette proximité de Dieu. L’incarnation est un cadeau si précieux que Dieu nous offre aujourd’hui que l’homme n’arrive pas à comprendre ce choix de Dieu, le mystère de l’incarnation dans la pauvreté et dans la faiblesse.

Pour comprendre ce mystère saint Hippolyte de Rome nous donne un très bon conseil, « ne voyons pas selon notre propre choix, ni d’après notre propre intelligence, ………. mais de la façon que lui-même a voulu indiquer par les sainte Ecritures. Nous devons écouter dans l’humilité cette Parole de la joie et du bonheur. C’est dans cette écoute et dans cette recherche pour la vérité que nous pouvons rencontrer le Messie dans cet enfant qui est faible et qui a besoin de notre soutient. Pour tout comprendre nous avons besoin d’un regard de foi, un regard divin.

L’incarnation est un commencement d’une nouvelle création, où le monde se trouve devant un Dieu qui nous aime. « Il a tellement aimé le monde qu’il nous a envoyé son Fils, ce n’est pas pour nous juger, mais par lui que le monde soit sauver », nous dit saint Jean. « Célébrons dans la joie l’avènement de notre salut et notre rédemption » nous dit saint Augustin.

Saint Paul nous a dit que l’incarnation est la manifestation de la gloire de Dieu. Dieu se révèle dans la faiblesse et dans la pauvreté des hommes. Il est né dans une mangeoire, seul avec Marie et Joseph. Même dans cette solitude, il est très proche à la création, dehors de la maison, car il n’y a pas de place. Mes amis, nous devons ouvrir la porte d’entrée de nos maisons, nos richesses et nos cœurs aux besoins des autres. C’est ainsi que nous pourrions l’accueillir dans la maison et dans nos cœurs.

Les anges du Seigneur annonce la Bonne Nouvelle aux bergers qui veillent, protègent et prient pour ses brebis. Les anges leurs assurent et aujourd’hui ils nous assurent en disant « n’ayez pas peur ». Peur de quitter nos habitudes, des lieux de sécurité, peur d’avenir, de violences et de souffrance. Il est avec nous, le Seigneur de l’univers. Avec lui, nous pouvons tout avoir. Dans cette célébration de l’Eucharistie, nous allons à la rencontre d’enfant mailloté. Les anges nous accompagnent et ils nous proclament, « Aujourd'hui vous est né un Sauveur, dans la ville de David. Il est le Messie, le Seigneur. » Amen.

Yes ! A child is born to us, a son is given to us and dominion is on his shoulder , and his name is proclaimed : " Wonderful Counsellor , Mighty God, Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace " . It is this joy that we are here and we celebrate Christmas with the family. Like the shepherds of Israel we say together, " Let's go to Bethlehem and see what happened .

With the huge procession of angels in heaven we hear the songs of the angels and we join them singing a new song , full of love and full of gratitude. Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace to men of good .

Like Mary, we believe in the Lord's providence . On the feast of Christmas, we remember that closeness of God, a God who is with us. The incarnation is so precious gift that God offers us today that the man does not understand this choice of God , the mystery of the Incarnation in poverty and weakness.
To understand this mystery St. Hippolytus of Rome gives us very good advice , " do not see at our discretion , or according to our own intelligence .......... but the way that he wanted to be specified by the Holy Scriptures. We must listen to the Word in humility, with joy and happiness. It is in this listening and in this search for the truth that we can meet the Messiah in the child who is weak and in need of our support . To understand this great mystery we need the eyes of faith , a divine look.

The incarnation is a beginning of a new creation, where the world is face to face with a God who loves us. "He so loved the world that He sent us His Son, it is not for us to judge, but through him the world might be saved ," says John. "Let us Celebrate with joy in the incarnation of our salvation and redemption " says St. Augustine.

Saint Paul tells us that the incarnation is the manifestation of the glory of God. God is revealed in weakness and poverty of men. He was born in a manger, alone with Mary and Joseph. Even in this loneliness, He is very close to the creation, outside the house , because there is no place . My friends, we need to open the front door of our homes , our wealth and our hearts to the needs of others. Thus we could accommodate the child Jesus in the house and in our hearts.

The angels of the Lord proclaims the Good News to the shepherds watching , protecting and praying for the sheep. The r angels assure them and today they assure us saying " do not be afraid ." Afraid to leave our habits , be displaced of the places of safety , fear of future, the violence in our society and suffering. He is with us , the Lord of the universe. With Him and in Him, we have it all. In this celebration of the Eucharist, we are going to meet the little new born child. Angels accompany us and they proclaim, "Today is born to you a Savior, in the city of David . He is the Messiah , the Lord . " Amen .

The day mass

The earth have seen the Savior that God gives us . Yesterday we celebrated Christmas with the faithful and today we meditate and we marvel at the mystery of the incarnation. The Word made flesh. Why God made this choice, and this choice of God is incomprehensible to human intelligence.
The incarnation makes us worthy to reborn in God, as Jesus intended. It is in this new birth that man can find his salvation . God emptied Himself , took our flesh, to become one of us by which He raises human being in his original state of creation, thus He make man to participate in his holiness in its fullness.

Through this incarnation the all powerful God reminds us that He needs Mary, a human cooperation for the fulfillment of the promise made to our father Abraham. It is this cooperation that man can participate in God's mission . In Jesus we are invited to participate in the fulfillment of God's plan .

John in his gospel assures us , "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not stop . " Yet he continues to say , " He came unto His own , and His own did not receive Him. " . Unfortunately there was only one Mary, who was able to identify and answer to the call of God positively. We need many such Marys to tell the Lord "YES ", a definitive yes to be with him until the end of the world.

It is in Jesus Christ we discover a God , who is so close, a God who understands us perfectly , a God who loves us. It is in this divine love that God invites us to share . Christmas is a perfect sharing where God made ​​man to participate in his divinity. God made man in Jesus .

Before each divine intervention in the old testament was deadly where man even dared not look at God. There was fear, fear of dying. The first message that the angels communicated to the shepherds of Israel was, " " Fear not , for behold I bring you good news of great joy for all the people : to you is born a Savior , in the city of David . He is the Messiah , the Lord . "

My bothers and sisters today is a day of celebration , a festival of light . Saint Paul tells us that we are children of light. We must live in the light. À la naissance de Jean Baptiste, Zacharie, son père, fut rempli de l'Esprit Saint et prononça ces paroles prophétiques :

« Béni soit le Seigneur, le Dieu d'Israël, parce qu'il a visité son peuple pour accomplir sa libération.

Dans la maison de David, son serviteur, il a fait se lever une force qui nous sauve.

C'est ce qu'il avait annoncé autrefois par la bouche de ses saints prophètes :

le salut qui nous délivre de nos adversaires, des mains de tous nos ennemis.

Il a montré sa miséricorde envers nos pères, il s'est rappelé son Alliance sainte :

il avait juré à notre père Abraham qu'il nous arracherait aux mains de nos ennemis,

et nous donnerait de célébrer sans crainte notre culte devant lui, dans la piété et la justice, tout au long de nos jours.

Et toi, petit enfant,on t'appellera prophète du Très-Haut, car tu marcheras devant le Seigneur pour lui préparer le chemin, pour révéler à son peuple qu'il est sauvé, que ses péchés sont pardonnés.

Telle est la tendresse du cœur de notre Dieu ; grâce à elle, du haut des cieux, un astre est venu nous visiter ;

il est apparu à ceux qui demeuraient dans les ténèbres et dans l'ombre de la mort, pour guider nos pas sur le chemin de la paix. »

Le message

Zacharie, qui n’a pas cru à la Parole de Dieu, celui aujourd’hui proclame comme Marie sa louange et son chat d’action de grâce.

Il a reconnu en son fils, un prophète qui va préparer le chemin du Seigneur. Poussé par l’Esprit Saint il annonce la tendresse du cœur de Dieu, un Dieu qui nous aime.

Ce soir nous allons veiller, prier, et célébrer. Que cette parole de Zacharie rayonne dans nos pensés et que nous célébrerions la fête dans la joie et dans la paix.

Gospel text (Lc 1,67-79):

Zechariah, filled with holy spirit, sang this canticle, «Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has come and redeemed his people. He has raised up for us a victorious Savior in the house of David his servant, as he promised through his prophets of old, salvation from our enemies and from the hand of our foes. He has shown mercy to our fathers and remembered his holy covenant, the oath he swore to Abraham, our father, to deliver us from the enemy, that we might serve him fearlessly as a holy and righteous people all the days of our lives. And you, my child, shall be called prophet of the Most High, for you shall go before the Lord to prepare the way for him and enable his people to know of their salvation when he comes to forgive their sins. This is the work of the mercy of our God, who comes from on high as a rising sun shining on those who live in darkness and in the shadow of death, and guiding our feet into the way of peace».

The message

Today after the birth of his son, Zachariah proclaims the glory of God. He is able to understand the marvelous work of God for him and also to the people of Israel. He is inviting us to do the same.

He is leading us to the future and asking us to prepare the way for the little Jesus who is to born today night in our heart.

He is reminding us that the oath and alliance that God has made to Abraham is still valid and God hasn’t forgotten us. It is in this sentiment of gratitude that we celebrate the birth of Jesus and there is joy of being able to conceive Him in our hearts.

Let us not waste our time in the material preparations, but allot little attention to the spiritual readiness to welcome Him.
