Évangile de Jésus Christ selon

saint Marc 12,18-27.

Des sadducéens – ceux qui affirment qu’il n’y a pas de résurrection – viennent trouver Jésus. Ils l’interrogeaient :
« Maître, Moïse nous a prescrit : Si un homme a un frère qui meurt en laissant une femme, mais aucun enfant, il doit épouser la veuve pour susciter une descendance à son frère.
Il y avait sept frères ; le premier se maria, et mourut sans laisser de descendance.
Le deuxième épousa la veuve, et mourut sans laisser de descendance. Le troisième pareillement.
Et aucun des sept ne laissa de descendance. Et en dernier, après eux tous, la femme mourut aussi.
À la résurrection, quand ils ressusciteront, duquel d’entre eux sera-t-elle l’épouse, puisque les sept l’ont eue pour épouse ? »
Jésus leur dit : « N’êtes-vous pas en train de vous égarer, en méconnaissant les Écritures et la puissance de Dieu ?
Lorsqu’on ressuscite d’entre les morts, on ne prend ni femme ni mari, mais on est comme les anges dans les cieux.
Et sur le fait que les morts ressuscitent, n’avez-vous pas lu dans le livre de Moïse, au récit du buisson ardent, comment Dieu lui a dit : Moi, je suis le Dieu d’Abraham, le Dieu d’Isaac, le Dieu de Jacob ?
Il n’est pas le Dieu des morts, mais des vivants. Vous vous égarez complètement. »

The message

Jésus nous affirme qu’il est une vie après la mort. La vie après la mort, n’est pas une continuation de la vie sur la terre, mais une sorte de vie qu’avec notre intelligence si petite, nous ne pouvons pas le comprendre. La vie après la mort est entièrement liée à Dieu, non pas aux hommes, une vie qui ressemble celle des anges.

Il y a encore un enseignement très important : les écritures Sacrées nous en expliquent, donc il faut les lire pour comprendre le mystère de la vie après la mort. Notre Dieu est un Dieu des vivants et nos pères sont toujours vivants auprès de Dieu. Voilà notre espérance et notre foi, qui nous font vivre.

For the seven had her as wife." 24 Jesus said to them, "Is not this why you are wrong, that you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God? 25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 26 And as for the dead being raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God said to him, `I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? 27 He is not God of the dead, but of the living; you are quite wrong."

The message

Life after death is affirmed by Jesus. He seems to suggest that even the Holy Scriptures speak about this life, because God introduced Himself as God of the living. This affirmation does give us the hope that we will live even after the death like our fore fathers.

Life after the death is not a mere continuation of this life, but a life totally different, where we will be directly connected with God, without any mediation. Why to break our head on something beyond our reach? Let us be close to the Scriptures and try to understand all that they teach us. Why to complicate the life which is already complicated in this disturbed world?

saint Marc 12,13-17.

On envoya à Jésus des pharisiens et des partisans d’Hérode pour lui tendre un piège en le faisant parler,
et ceux-ci vinrent lui dire : « Maître, nous le savons : tu es toujours vrai ; tu ne te laisses influencer par personne, car ce n’est pas selon l’apparence que tu considères les gens, mais tu enseignes le chemin de Dieu selon la vérité. Est-il permis, oui ou non, de payer l’impôt à César, l’empereur ? Devons-nous payer, oui ou non ? »
Mais lui, sachant leur hypocrisie, leur dit : « Pourquoi voulez-vous me mettre à l’épreuve ? Faites-moi voir une pièce d’argent. »
Ils en apportèrent une, et Jésus leur dit : « Cette effigie et cette inscription, de qui sont-elles ? – De César », répondent-ils.
Jésus leur dit : « Ce qui est à César, rendez-le à César, et à Dieu ce qui est à Dieu. » Et ils étaient remplis d’étonnement à son sujet.

Le message

« Ce qui est à César, rendez-le à César, et à Dieu ce qui est à Dieu. » Très souvent dans notre vie quotidienne, nous donnons à Dieu, tout ce qui est à César. Et nous oublions que la vie dans sa totalité est appartient au Seigneur et tout ce que la vie nous donne est aussi appartient au Seigneur.

C’est pourquoi nous sommes invités à transformer notre vie comme l’action de grâce en reconnaissant tout ce que nous avons reçu de Dieu, et à vivre notre vie dans le Seigneur et pour le Seigneur. Discernons bien les choses et prenons une bonne décision.

Scripture: Mark 12:13-17

13 And they sent to him some of the Pharisees and some of the Herodians, to entrap him in his talk. 14 And they came and said to him, "Teacher, we know that you are true, and care for no man; for you do not regard the position of men, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? 15 Should we pay them, or should we not?" But knowing their hypocrisy, he said to them, "Why put me to the test? Bring me a coin, and let me look at it." 16 And they brought one. And he said to them, "Whose likeness and inscription is this?" They said to him, "Caesar's." 17 Jesus said to them, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." And they were amazed at him.

The message

We have complicated our life to the extent that we don’t know what is right and left. We have become the specialist in dividing and ruling, for and against. Jesus has come to unify the world, as one single creation of God.

Jesus is affirming us that all that exist belong to God. "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.", though seems to be very simple, in reality, it won’t be as simple as we think. The life belongs to God and by consequence, all that belong to life, is also belong to God.

A wise person will recognize this truth and will live this life in gratitude. Only those who believe that all that we have is from God, will be able to live for God. This person will never complain, because he or she has discovered all that God has done to her or to him. Here, the question of what is the right thing to do, dosn't arise, because, everything will be consulted to God and all that God says, is and should be the best for us to do.

We should learn to discern rightly and have courage to take the right decision.

Matthieu 28,16-20.

En ce temps-là, les onze disciples s’en allèrent en Galilée, à la montagne où Jésus leur avait ordonné de se rendre.
Quand ils le virent, ils se prosternèrent, mais certains eurent des doutes.
Jésus s’approcha d’eux et leur adressa ces paroles : « Tout pouvoir m’a été donné au ciel et sur la terre.
Allez ! De toutes les nations faites des disciples : baptisez-les au nom du Père, et du Fils, et du Saint-Esprit,
apprenez-leur à observer tout ce que je vous ai commandé. Et moi, je suis avec vous tous les jours jusqu’à la fin du monde. »

Homélie

Aujourd’hui nous fêtons la solennité de la Trinité. Le mystère de la Trinité est révélé par Jésus et en Lui nous découvrons non seulement son Père qui nous aime, mais aussi l’Esprit Saint qui nous accompagne. Dieu le Créateur, son Fils le rédempteur, et l’Esprit Saint Celui qui nous sanctifie, nous montrent déjà une communauté des personnes

Le Père n’est pas le Fils, le Fils n’est pas le Père, le Père n’est pas l’Esprit Saint, et l’Esprit Saint n’est pas le Fils, pourtant Ils sont un seul Dieu. Comme une famille, le Père ne peut pas faire tout ce que la mère est appelée à faire, et la mère non plus capable de remplacer le rôle du père, pourtant ils sont un seul couple, qui s’engage à l’accompagnement de leurs enfants. Nous pensons qu’il n’y a pas de mystère dans cette vie du couple. En vérité, nous devons par notre vie de couple expliquer ce mystère de la Trinité à nos enfants, en partageant notre vie d’une manière radicale et simple. Le Père doit connaitre sa femme comme le Père connait son Fils. Le père ne fera rien contre la volonté de sa femme, car en elle il se trouve, il trouve la présence de Dieu qui l’accompagne.

Mes amis nous sommes invités à vivre le mystère de la Trinité en nous. Comme la Trinité, qui sont un dans leurs essence, que le couple soit un. Comme la pluralité est dans les personnes, dans la vie du couple et du mariage, nous devons nous accepter les uns les autres avec respect et apprendre à apprécier la diversité dans la même famille. Nous avons besoin des autres comme la Trinité. Sans Jésus personne ne peut connaitre le Père, et sans l’Esprit Saint personne ne peut découvrir la relation entre Dieu et Fils. Mes amis pour agrandir dans la foi chrétienne, la communauté chrétienne est essentielle. Si une personne dit qu’il est chrétien, et s’il ne participe pas aux activités de la communauté, il y a une contradiction.

Jésus dans sa vie, a enlevé toute sorte de loi du culte et Il nous a demandé d’être fidèle à son commandement d’amour : nous aimer les uns les autres, comme Il nous a aimé. S’il nous a aimés, parce qu’il est uni avec son Père dans l’amour. C’est dans cet amour que nous pouvons nous unir avec son Père. C’est encore dans cet amour qu’Il nous a envoyé l’Esprit Saint. C’est dans cet amour qu’il nous envoie en mission.

Il nous envoie au nom de la Trinité. « Allez ! De toutes les nations faites des disciples : baptisez-les au nom du Père, et du Fils, et du Saint-Esprit, apprenez-leur à observer tout ce que je vous ai commandé. » La Trinité est la fondation de notre foi. Puisque nous sommes les enfants de Dieu, nous sommes les héritiers légitimes de Dieu. Vivons notre foi pleinement dans l’amour comme la Trinité. Laissons-nous guider par l’Esprit Saint. Amen

Scripture: Matthew 28:16-20

16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age."

Homily

Today we celebrate the solemnity of the Trinity. Even though the Holy Sprit was there, right from the beginning of the creation, this mystery of the Trinity is revealed by Jesus through His incarnation and resurrection. We discover in Jesus, not only his Father who loves us, but the Holy Spirit who accompanies us. God the Creator, His Son the Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit He who sanctifies us, already show us a community of persons. The love each other, respect one other, without any domination and submission. Jesus even on the cross could call His father and could say let thy will be done.
My friends, we are invited to live the mystery of the Trinity in us. Like the Trinity, united in their essence, we should be also united as one single people of God, as the children of the same Father. In their function and persons, they are different. Like the same be in our society. Let us learn to appreciate the diversity of function, persons, cultures and the way they do and think.

Jesus was sent be the Father to save us and the Holy Spirit is sent by the Father and the Son, to continue the redemptive mission, to accomplish the will of the Father. Without Jesus no one can know the Father, and without the Holy Spirit no one can discover the relationship between God and Son. It is a perfect community life, where they share everything and know everything. Our family and married life should represent this Trinitarian life to our children. Let them discover the Trinity in the family.

My friend to grow in the Christian faith, the Christian community is essential. If a person says he is a Christian, and if he does not participate in community activities, there is a contradiction. If there is no love and forgiveness in our family, it is no more a Christian family.

The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are united in love. It is in this love for us that the Father has sent the Son to save us. It is in the same love that Jesus has promised us the Holy Spirit and the Father and Son sent us the Holy Spirit.

Jesus sends us the name of the Trinity. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and I am with you always, to the close of the age." This is our mission and the promise of the Lord. Through the Holy Spirit the Father and Jesus accompany us.

"The Trinity is the foundation of our faith. Since we are children of this Trinity, let us learn to love and forgive from this loving and forgiving Father. Like Jesus, let us allow ourselves be guided by the Holy Spirit. I wish you all a very happy feast day. May God bless you all.

saint Marc 11,27-33.

En ce temps-là, Jésus et ses disciples reviennent à Jérusalem. Et comme Jésus allait et venait dans le Temple, les grands prêtres, les scribes et les anciens vinrent le trouver.
Ils lui demandaient : « Par quelle autorité fais-tu cela ? Ou alors qui t’a donné cette autorité pour le faire ? »
Jésus leur dit : « Je vais vous poser une seule question. Répondez-moi, et je vous dirai par quelle autorité je fais cela.
Le baptême de Jean venait-il du ciel ou des hommes ? Répondez-moi. »
Ils se faisaient entre eux ce raisonnement : « Si nous disons : “Du ciel”, il va dire : “Pourquoi donc n’avez-vous pas cru à sa parole ?”
Mais allons-nous dire : “Des hommes” ? » Ils avaient peur de la foule, car tout le monde estimait que Jean était réellement un prophète.
Ils répondent donc à Jésus : « Nous ne savons pas ! » Alors Jésus leur dit : « Moi, je ne vous dis pas non plus par quelle autorité je fais cela. »

Le message

« Par quelle autorité fais-tu cela ? Ou alors qui t’a donné cette autorité pour le faire ? », Une question importante que Jésus ignore. L’homme demande à Dieu, dans sa maison, dans sa demeure, ‘qui es-tu ? L’homme a oublié qu’il n’est qu’un tenant qui est responsable au propriétaire : Dieu. La sagesse nous aidera à discerner la vérité : propriétaire ou tenant.

Il y a une grande différence entre l’autorité divine et humaine. L’autorité divine se met au service de l’humanité, comme la purification du Temple et l’autorité humaine est très souvent au lieu d’être au service de l’humanité, elle domine.

Invoquons à la sagesse à nous aider à discerner.

And as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders came to him, 28 and they said to him, "By what authority are you doing these things, or who gave you this authority to do them?" 29 Jesus said to them, "I will ask you a question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. 30 Was the baptism of John from heaven or from men? Answer me." 31 And they argued with one another, "If we say, `From heaven,' he will say, `Why then did you not believe him?' 32 But shall we say, `From men'?" -- they were afraid of the people, for all held that John was a real prophet. 33 So they answered Jesus, "We do not know." And Jesus said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things."

The message

Purifying the Temple is purifying the cult which purifies the humanity. There are much such purifications enacted by God, without warning us, do good for the humanity. John Baptist came to announce the baptism of conversion and the people who were in authority refused to listen to Him. All that they reclaim as a rightful authority to question Jesus, is given and received, which they conveniently decided to forget.

With this received authority which was given for the service of the humanity, they ask question to the source of all authority, the authority which refuses to dominate, but love to share. The wisdom will help us to identify the difference between the divine and human authority and will assist us in our daily life to adhere to the divine authority.

saint Marc 11,11-26.

Après son arrivée au milieu des acclamations de la foule, Jésus entra à Jérusalem, dans le Temple. Il parcourut du regard toutes choses et, comme c’était déjà le soir, il sortit pour aller à Béthanie avec les Douze.
Le lendemain, quand ils quittèrent Béthanie, il eut faim.
Voyant de loin un figuier qui avait des feuilles, il alla voir s’il y trouverait quelque chose ; mais, en s’approchant, il ne trouva que des feuilles, car ce n’était pas la saison des figues.
Alors il dit au figuier : « Que jamais plus personne ne mange de tes fruits ! » Et ses disciples avaient bien entendu.
Ils arrivèrent à Jérusalem. Entré dans le Temple, Jésus se mit à expulser ceux qui vendaient et ceux qui achetaient dans le Temple. Il renversa les comptoirs des changeurs et les sièges des marchands de colombes,
et il ne laissait personne transporter quoi que ce soit à travers le Temple.
Il enseignait, et il déclarait aux gens : « L’Écriture ne dit-elle pas : Ma maison sera appelée maison de prière pour toutes les nations ? Or vous, vous en avez fait une caverne de bandits. »
Apprenant cela, les grands prêtres et les scribes cherchaient comment le faire périr. En effet, ils avaient peur de lui, car toute la foule était frappée par son enseignement.
Et quand le soir tomba, Jésus et ses disciples s’en allèrent hors de la ville.
Le lendemain matin, en passant, ils virent le figuier qui était desséché jusqu’aux racines.
Pierre, se rappelant ce qui s’était passé, dit à Jésus : « Rabbi, regarde : le figuier que tu as maudit est desséché. »
Alors Jésus, prenant la parole, leur dit : « Ayez foi en Dieu.
Amen, je vous le dis : quiconque dira à cette montagne : “Enlève-toi de là, et va te jeter dans la mer”, s’il ne doute pas dans son cœur, mais s’il croit que ce qu’il dit arrivera, cela lui sera accordé !
C’est pourquoi, je vous le dis : tout ce que vous demandez dans la prière, croyez que vous l’avez obtenu, et cela vous sera accordé.
Et quand vous vous tenez en prière, si vous avez quelque chose contre quelqu’un, pardonnez, afin que votre Père qui est aux cieux vous pardonne aussi vos fautes. »

Le message

Dieu a installé un système dans notre monde et nous n’arrivons pas à le décoder. Ce système nous aidera à comprendre la source de son existence. Cette connaissance de la vérité sera le fondement de notre foi. « Ayez foi en Dieu. »

L’évangile du jour nous invite à vivre dans cette foi. Cette Foi nous aidera à prendre position dans notre vie. C’est ainsi, la colère du Seigneur dans le temple, et son comportement devant le figuier sera là-nôtre. Notre prière, notre amour et pardon sont bien liés à cette foi qui nous fait vivre pleinement.

11 And he entered Jerusalem, and went into the temple; and when he had looked round at everything, as it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve. 12 On the following day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry. 13 And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14 And he said to it, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard it.

15 And they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons; 16 and he would not allow any one to carry anything through the temple. 17 And he taught, and said to them, "Is it not written, `My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations'? But you have made it a den of robbers." 18 And the chief priests and the scribes heard it and sought a way to destroy him; for they feared him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching.

19 And when evening came they went out of the city. 20 As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. 21 And Peter remembered and said to him, "Master, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered." 22 And Jesus answered them, "Have faith in God. 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against any one; so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses"

The message

How to connect everything of today’s gospel with a single theme? If I make a choice, I will choose the Faith in the Lord. “Have Faith in me.”

The faith in the Lord will provoke anger when people willfully manipulate others (in the temple). It will arise when something which is very much normal and correct refuses to do what is just and good. (the fig tree). We can’t serve two masters. Our Yes should be Yes and no should be No. We can’t have both at the same time.

The creation has a system and this system if we are able to understand will help us to discover the presence of God in this world. The truth of His presence will nourish our Faith. This faith will help us to live our life fully. Our prayer, love, pardon, everything should have their source in this faith, the goodness of God, and in His unconditional love for us.

saint Marc 10,46-52.

En ce temps-là, tandis que Jésus sortait de Jéricho avec ses disciples et une foule nombreuse, le fils de Timée, Bartimée, un aveugle qui mendiait, était assis au bord du chemin.
Quand il entendit que c’était Jésus de Nazareth, il se mit à crier : « Fils de David, Jésus, prends pitié de moi ! »
Beaucoup de gens le rabrouaient pour le faire taire, mais il criait de plus belle : « Fils de David, prends pitié de moi ! »
Jésus s’arrête et dit : « Appelez-le. » On appelle donc l’aveugle, et on lui dit : « Confiance, lève-toi ; il t’appelle. »
L’aveugle jeta son manteau, bondit et courut vers Jésus.
Prenant la parole, Jésus lui dit : « Que veux-tu que je fasse pour toi ? » L’aveugle lui dit : « Rabbouni, que je retrouve la vue ! »
Et Jésus lui dit : « Va, ta foi t’a sauvé. » Aussitôt l’homme retrouva la vue, et il suivait Jésus sur le chemin.

Le message

Dieu créa le monde et Il le trouva bon. C’est dans ce monde que nous pouvons découvrir la bonté et la générosité de Dieu. Pour notre étonnement, c’était cet aveugle qui a découvert cette bonté de Dieu en Jésus, la source de sa Lumière. Mes amis dites-moi, en vérité qui était aveugle ?

Comme lui nous devons crier et dire, ‘Seigneur, que je retrouve la vue’. Nous devons avoir ce regard de Dieu, un regard plein de bonté et de générosité, d’amour et de pardon, de patience et de compassion. Nous devons aussi reconnaitre notre propre aveuglement.

Il faut apprendre à regarder les événements qui se passent autour de nous, avec un regard de foi. Ce regard nous fera découvrir la présence de Dieu. Le monde où nous vivons est représenté par la foule qui suive le Seigneur, sans pouvoir reconnaitre la Lumière du monde. Seigneur j’aimerais bien d’être cet aveugle afin de pouvoir te reconnaitre et de pouvoir crier vers toi.

Scripture: Mark 10:46-52

46 And they came to Jericho; and as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" 48 And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" 49 And Jesus stopped and said, "Call him." And they called the blind man, saying to him, "Take heart; rise, he is calling you." 50 And throwing off his mantle he sprang up and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus said to him, "What do you want me to do for you?" And the blind man said to him, "Master, let me receive my sight." 52 And Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your faith has made you well." And immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way.

The message

Only the blind could recognize the presence of the Lord. Only if we are aware of our blindness we can cry like this blind man. In truth this man was physically blind, but the light was in Him. He could see the savoir in Jesus. The real blinds were the one qui rebuked him. They couldn’t believe that Jesus was able to give him sight and bring him towards Jesus. Many of us in our ignorance do act like this. Instead of bringing people close to Jesus we tent to bring them close to us, thus blocking them.

Why we fail to see the Light in our life? It is because we don’t see everything through the eyes of the Lord, with the eye of Faith. Only the person who has the faith can see the presence of Jesus and others though physically close to Him, may not see the light, like these crowd which followed Jesus.

It is important to note, how this story ends. “And immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way.” We should take courage to follow Jesus, the source of our light. Without Him, we will be blind. Let us learn to cry like this person, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" and humble enough to request, “Lord, let me see.”

En ce temps-là, les disciples étaient en route pour monter à Jérusalem ; Jésus marchait devant eux ; ils étaient saisis de frayeur, et ceux qui suivaient étaient aussi dans la crainte. Prenant de nouveau les Douze auprès de lui, il se mit à leur dire ce qui allait lui arriver :

Ils lui répondirent : « Donne-nous de siéger, l’un à ta droite et l’autre à ta gauche, dans ta gloire. »
Jésus leur dit : « Vous ne savez pas ce que vous demandez. Pouvez-vous boire la coupe que je vais boire, être baptisé du baptême dans lequel je vais être plongé ? »
Ils lui dirent : « Nous le pouvons. » Jésus leur dit : « La coupe que je vais boire, vous la boirez ; et vous serez baptisés du baptême dans lequel je vais être plongé.
Quant à siéger à ma droite ou à ma gauche, ce n’est pas à moi de l’accorder ; il y a ceux pour qui cela est préparé. »
Les dix autres, qui avaient entendu, se mirent à s’indigner contre Jacques et Jean.
Jésus les appela et leur dit : « Vous le savez : ceux que l’on regarde comme chefs des nations les commandent en maîtres ; les grands leur font sentir leur pouvoir.
Parmi vous, il ne doit pas en être ainsi. Celui qui veut devenir grand parmi vous sera votre serviteur.
Celui qui veut être parmi vous le premier sera l’esclave de tous :
car le Fils de l’homme n’est pas venu pour être servi, mais pour servir, et donner sa vie en rançon pour la multitude. »

Le message

« Le Fils de l’homme n’est pas venu pour être servi, mais pour servir, et donner sa vie en rançon pour la multitude. » Nous sommes ses disciples, les enfants de Dieu et nous devons notre mettre au service des autres.

Boire la coupe et participer au baptême du Seigneur, c’est devenir le Christ pour nos frères et sœur : S’aimer les uns les autres, comme Jésus nous a aimé. Si la vie est remplie d’amour et de pardon, comme le Seigneur, nous serons capables de donner même notre vie aux autres. Sans cet amour la vie se transformera comme une charge lourde.

Il nous semble que les disciples du Seigneur n’ont pas compris le message du Seigneur ; la mort et la résurrection. Pourtant ils le vivront en eux, après la résurrection du Seigneur.

The message

The disciples of the Lord have missed the message communicated and enter into a conversation on ‘who is great?’ How can these disciples can understand that their master, who does only good to the people be crucified or rejected? It should be stupid to do so. And equally they also did the stupid thing in getting into the pretty conversation.

Jesus reminds them on the cup to drink (the martyrdom) and the baptism of blood, just like Him. Though these disciples didn’t understand the message communicated, will drink the same cup with joy and gratitude someday, in their later life.

How this transformation has happed? It is in their love for their mater and in their gratitude to all that they have received from the Lord that they could even embrace death as nothing in comparison of the love received from the Lord. It is in the same love that Jesus took the Cross. If our life is not filled with the same love, every moment of life where we are called to serve others as Jesus has done for us, will be a heavy charge to be executed and we will lose the inner peace that Lord has promised to us.

Le message

« Ne te présente pas devant le Seigneur les mains vides. » Lorsque nous voulons aller à la rencontre de Dieu, nous devons Lui présenter notre offrande. Pour saint Pierre, « Voici que nous avons tout quitté pour te suivre. » Quelle est notre offrande ?

Le message de cet évangile ce n’est pas que nous quittions tous ceux et celles que Dieu nous a confiés, mais Dieu se souviendra de tout ce que nous faisons pour le Seigneur en nous mettant au service des autres, le peuple de Dieu, les biens aimés du Père.

Pour être les premiers dans la maison du Seigneur, nous devons apprendre, comme notre maître, Jésus Christ, à nous donner aux autres.

The message

The book of Wisdom says that we shouldn’t stand in front of God without any presents. For Peter, "Lord, we have left everything and followed you." What is our present for God today? At the end of the day, do we have the courage to stand before God with a dignified gift?

Does God want a present from us? Does He expect that we leave everyone and follow Him? May be for some of us it may be the case, but not for everyone. The real message is that God never forgets a single act of good will done to our brothers and sisters in His name. Everything will be rewarded. This, let us learn to give to others all that we have and all that we have received from the Lord, who has given everything to us that He has received from the Father.

This will be a wonderful gift that we can offer to God today.

En ce temps-là, Jésus se mettait en route quand un homme accourut et, tombant à ses genoux, lui demanda : « Bon Maître, que dois-je faire pour avoir la vie éternelle en héritage ? »
Jésus lui dit : « Pourquoi dire que je suis bon ? Personne n’est bon, sinon Dieu seul.
Tu connais les commandements : Ne commets pas de meurtre, ne commets pas d’adultère, ne commets pas de vol, ne porte pas de faux témoignage, ne fais de tort à personne, honore ton père et ta mère. »
L’homme répondit : « Maître, tout cela, je l’ai observé depuis ma jeunesse. »
Jésus posa son regard sur lui, et il l’aima. Il lui dit : « Une seule chose te manque : va, vends ce que tu as et donne-le aux pauvres ; alors tu auras un trésor au ciel. Puis viens, suis-moi. »
Mais lui, à ces mots, devint sombre et s’en alla tout triste, car il avait de grands biens.
Alors Jésus regarda autour de lui et dit à ses disciples : « Comme il sera difficile à ceux qui possèdent des richesses d’entrer dans le royaume de Dieu ! »
Les disciples étaient stupéfaits de ces paroles. Jésus reprenant la parole leur dit : « Mes enfants, comme il est difficile d’entrer dans le royaume de Dieu !
Il est plus facile à un chameau de passer par le trou d’une aiguille qu’à un riche d’entrer dans le royaume de Dieu. »
De plus en plus déconcertés, les disciples se demandaient entre eux : « Mais alors, qui peut être sauvé ? »
Jésus les regarde et dit : « Pour les hommes, c’est impossible, mais pas pour Dieu ; car tout est possible à Dieu. »

Le message

« Mais alors, qui peut être sauvé ? » et que devons-nous faire pour avoir la vie éternelle ? La pauvreté, est-elle une condition d’avoir la vie éternelle ? Et nous avons encore les autres questions. Pourtant, il y a une réponse à ces questions : « suis-moi ».

Comme Lui nous devons nous enraciner en son Père et apprendre à faire sa volonté. Un homme de Dieu vit déjà dans le Seigneur et nous les voyons heureux. Cet homme avec une bonne volonté ne voulait pas se vider, mais souhaite que le Seigneur lui remplisse avec sa grâce. Comment pouvons-nous remplir notre cœur avec la grâce, les biens spirituels, alors nous l’avons déjà rempli avec les richesses purement matérielles ?

Dieu nous demande de nous convertir et notre Seigneur nous accueillera comme le père qui a accueilli le fils prodigue. Puisque tout est possible à Dieu, nous Lui demandons de nous accompagner.

The message

If there is something that gives us hope, it is this statement of Jesus: "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God." It is in His generosity and goodness that we put all our trust. Jesus is asking each and every one of us to empty ourselves, the unnecessary richness that we accumulate to live in this world so that He may fill our heart with divine richness. The young man came to Jesus, in search something very precious, but returned home by rejecting the grace that Jesus proposed to him.

The mas was so used with his habitual things that today he refused to believe that the eternal life in God can give him a better life than the life that world offer to him. We find many such mentalities in this world.

Many of us give lot of attention to what we should do and what we shouldn’t do and this young man did exactly the same. Jesus is asking us to reorient this misplaced priority, towards God. “Follow-me.” We should have the courage to follow Him radically and be united with Him, as He is united with the Father. Jesus reminds us that it is possible for God and let us pray to Him for this grace. Let all our action born from our relation with God, and everything will be de facto good, as God wills.

En ce temps-là, Jésus disait à ses disciples : Quand viendra le Défenseur, que je vous enverrai d’auprès du Père, lui, l’Esprit de vérité qui procède du Père, il rendra témoignage en ma faveur.
Et vous aussi, vous allez rendre témoignage, car vous êtes avec moi depuis le commencement.
J’ai encore beaucoup de choses à vous dire, mais pour l’instant vous ne pouvez pas les porter.
Quand il viendra, lui, l’Esprit de vérité, il vous conduira dans la vérité tout entière. En effet, ce qu’il dira ne viendra pas de lui-même : mais ce qu’il aura entendu, il le dira ; et ce qui va venir, il vous le fera connaître.
Lui me glorifiera, car il recevra ce qui vient de moi pour vous le faire connaître.
Tout ce que possède le Père est à moi ; voilà pourquoi je vous ai dit : L’Esprit reçoit ce qui vient de moi pour vous le faire connaître.

Homélie

Ils sont tous ensembles envahit par la peur des juifs s’enferme dans une maison. Je crois qu’ils étaient en prière, en suppliant au Seigneur de leurs envoyer le consolateur. L’Esprit Saint qui les a rassemblé ensembles vient à les rencontre pour qu’ils ressentent la puissance de la Parole de Dieu et le pouvoir que Dieu leurs a confié pour annoncer la Bonne Nouvelle dans la joie et dans le bonheur.

Lorsque nous célébrons la fête de Pentecôte, nous reconnaissans que l'’Esprit Saint qui était dès le commencement de la création, Celui qui a accompagné Jésus dès l’incarnation jusqu’à l’a résurrection, vient nous fortifier. C’est un jour de joie et d’espérance pour nous, car nous célébrons ce jour où notre Seigneur Jésus Christ, après sa résurrection et la gloire de son ascension, a envoyé l'Esprit Saint pour faire resplendir son Église, notre Église. Le jour de pentecôte est un jour important pour les disciples, car essentiellement c’était à l’origine une fête de moissons, fête de plénitude, abondance. Et justement ce jour-là qu’ils ont ressenti fortement l’accompagnateur divin dans une forme de feu, qui accompagnera l’Église du Seigneur jusqu’au dernier jour.

Le feu qu’ils ont reçu les a entièrement transformé, éclairé et les a illuminés. Les gens de l’extérieur qui ont vu la lumière, n’ont rien compris, ni la Parole, ni le message, car ils étaient dans la confusion, pourtant grâce à l’Esprit Saint, ils ont tout compris le message d’espérance et de joie communiquait par les disciples, dans leur langue maternelle. Dieu qui se fait homme savait déjà l’importance de leur faire comprendre le message dans leur langue maternelle et aussi dans un jour de fête qui rassemble le peuple.

Rempli d’amour et de reconnaissance, les disciples rendent témoignage à tout ce qu’ils ont vu, entendu et vécu avec Jésus, sans porter aucun jugement sur ce peuple qui ont crucifié leur Maître. Ils sont très vite découvert l’inauguration de l’alliance nouvelle et la promulgation d’une nouvelle loi de l’amour et de pardon qui n’est plus gravé sur la pierre, mais dans l’Esprit et la liberté.

Seulement un homme guidé par l’Esprit Saint et de foi sera capable d’avoir ce regard d’amour et de pardon. L’Esprit de Vérité leurs a révélé l’ignorance de ce peuple et de leur innocence. Dieu d’amour s’exprime à travers ces disciples son pardon. Nous avons besoin de cet Esprit de Vérité pour enlever la haine et la vengeance qui a envahi le monde que Dieu créa.

Dans toute sorte de rencontre humaine, c'est Dieu qui vient à la rencontre de l’humanité. Dieu est en œuvre. Chaque fois que nous voyons le signe de l’amour et de la paix, nous devons nous assurer que l’Esprit Saint est en œuvre parmi nous. Ne soyons pas découragé en voyant les violences et les guerres qui se sont surgis dans la haine et dans la jalousie qui veut dominer ce monde d’amour. Regardons le monde avec les yeux ouverts avec un regard de foi et nous verrons les bénévoles qui s’engagent à le développement de la terre, les hommes et femmes qui travaillent pour la paix et pour la réconciliation, les associations, les activités caritatives qui se multiplient sans arrêt. Ils nous affirment avec certitude que notre défenseur est en œuvre.

Laissons nous guider par l’Esprit Saint, écoutons tout ce qu’Il nous dira, nous verrons l'immence présence de Dieu qui nous accompgne et qui nous guide quotidiennement. Prions à l’Esprit Saint qu’Il nous donne la sagesse de discernement et le regard de foi, à vivre notre vie pleinement dans le Seigneur en nous mettant au service des autres et en nous aimant les uns les autres comme Jésus nous a aimé.

Ô Seigneur, envoie ton Esprit qui renouvelle la face de la terre. Qu’Il fasse revivre ce qui meurt, enclore tout ce qui germe, fasse mûrir tout ce qui soit tombé en terre. Que toute notre vie soit remplie de ton amour et de ton pardon. Amen.

Gospel Reading: John 20:19-23

19 On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." 20 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. 21 Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you." 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."

Homily

They are all together invaded by fear of the Jews, locked up in a house. I think they were praying, asking God to send their comforter. The Holy Spirit who has gathered them together, comes to meet them so that they feel the power of the Word of God and the power God has entrusted in them to announce the Good News in joy and happiness.

It is the same Holy Spirit who even before the creation covered the universe with its breath, accompanied Jesus from the incarnation to the resurrection, has come towards us to strengthen us today. It is a day of joy and hope for us, for we celebrate the day when our Lord Jesus Christ after his resurrection and glory of his ascension, has sent the Holy Spirit to shine His Church, our Church. The day of Pentecost is an important day for the disciples because essentially it was originally a harvest festival, festival of fullness and abundance. It was on this day that they felt the direct divine intervention in a form of fire, which will accompany the Lord's Church until the last day.

The fire they received was entirely transformed, enlightened and illuminated them. The outsiders who have seen the light, understood neither the Word nor the message, as they were in confusion, yet through the Holy Spirit, they all understood the message of hope and joy communicated by the disciples in their native language. God who became man knew the importance of making them to understand the message in their own language and also in a festive day that brings the people in joy and festive.

Filled with love and gratitude, disciples bear witness to everything they have seen, heard and lived with Jesus, without any judgment on this people who crucified their Master. They soon discovered the inauguration of the new covenant and the enactment of a new law of love and forgiveness that is no longer engraved on the stone like the one Moses received, but in the Spirit and freedom written in the heart.

Only a man guided by the Holy Spirit and of faith will be able to understand the message communicated and announce it with love and forgiveness. The Spirit of Truth revealed to the disciples the ignorance of the people and their innocence. God's love is expressed through these disciples, by the message of forgiveness, calling them for conversion. Today all the more, we need this Spirit of Truth to remove hatred and vengeance that has invaded the world that God created.

In any sort of human encounter, it is God who comes to meet the humanity. God is always at work. Whenever we see the sign of love and peace, we must make sure that the Holy Spirit is at work among us. Let us not be discouraged by seeing violence and wars that have born in hatred and jealousy that wants to dominate the world of love. Look at the world with open eyes with the eyes of faith and see the volunteers who are committed to the development of the earth, men and women who work for peace and reconciliation, associations and charitable activities that multiplies continuously. They affirm us with certain conviction that our defender is in work.

Let us allow ourselves be guided by the Holy Spirit, let us learn to put in pratice what He will tell us and we will realize the true presence of God among us. With an open heart let us implore the Holy Spirit that he gives us the wisdom and discernment of faith.

O Lord, send us your Spirit and renew the face of the earth. May He makes relive what dies, encloses everything that germ, do ripen all that fell into the earth. May our whole life is filled with your love and your forgiveness. Amen.
